Itch relief at it's best...

I was chosen to try for free Dove Derma care scalp dryness and itch relief shampoo.

First off, always a nice sleek bottle, that fits nicely in my shower. The scent was subtle and smells like Dove and nothing like the others you get for itch relief.

It gives great suds in your hair and I left it on for about 5 minutes so my hair could reap the full benefits.

I found it works like the other brands. It didn't leave my hair feeling gross after the shampoo was rinsed out.

I would buy this again, but shampoo only. See my review on the conditioner.

Works great!

I received this from Chick Advisor 2 days before the review was due, but that was obviously not enough time to test out a dry scalp shampoo for effectiveness. I've now used it 3 times, and the dry itchiness I was experiencing because of the winter has basically disappeared. The shampoo smells heavily of shea butter at first, but dissipates to something much softer, and still pleasant as the day goes on. My hair was soft and shiny and when I let it dry naturally, my curls did not frizz. I really liked this and would consider purchasing it again.

#gotitfree from chick advisor , I’ve had dandruff and itchy scalp for years , I’ve tried head and shoulders and other no name brands but this one is much better ! It hydrates your scalp so it’s not itchy so no dandruff !

Super hydrating!

Because it's so cold and dry where I live during winter, my scalp gets really dry and itchy!! It creates dandruff since I scratch it so much and is really annoying and embarassing. It only does it in the winter.

I just received this shampoo to try yesterday, and I LOVE it. Already on my first wash, I can feel the difference. My scalp, which starts to scratch immediately when my hair is dry, hasn't been itchy since yesterday morning. I can't believe it!! The shampoo does hurt if it gets into your eye a little, but other than that, it smells good and is super hydrating, without making my scalp and hair greasy.

I think I found my go-to winter shampoo and conditionner!! Thanks chickadvisor.

Works Great!

I love this shampoo. I only have mild dandruff and an often itchy scalp but this shampoo managed to get rid of it after the first use. The instant relief from itchiness was amazing and unexpected as other products have not worked. Even if I go a few days between washing my hair my scalp doesn't get itchy anymore. I also enjoyed the subtle but pleasant fragrance.

A Great New Anti-Dandruff Product

I received this item free to try by Chickadvisor last week. I thought I'd give myself about a week and a half of trying this product to test out its effectiveness.

I typically use Head & Shoulder Clinical Solutions Shampoo but I took a break from it for a few weeks so I could test out how well Dove would work on my scalp. I find that this shampoo is as equally effective as the Head & Shoulders. I followed the instructions on the Dove bottle and used the products twice a week, and I've noticed that it does reduce itchiness and the amount of flakes. Without using Dove, I would have lots of dryness, particularly in the hairline. But by using this product I'm able to comb my hair without having to worry.

Overall, I think after testing out Dove, I'll be making the switch from Head & Shoulders! What won me over completely with Dove is its scent. Head & Shoulders shampoos, in my opinion, smell awful. This Dove shampoo smells beautiful -- you'd never know it was actually a dandruff shampoo. It contains coconut oil, which I think is the main scent.

In the end, I would recommend this product to anyone who deals with an itchy scalp and flakes. Mine is due to winter dryness, dryness caused by the heater, and hard water. It has proved effective with me, so it's worth a shot for anyone else. The product is pricey, but you could reduce using this product to once a week if necessary.

Smooth and effective!

I have used this product a few times now and it really makes my hair smooth! You can tell it's so much better than other similar products as it's so smooth. It smells great and really makes me feel good. I enjoyed the conditioner as well, and it made me feel great. I would recommend this product and I'll keep using it!

Smells nice!

I only had the chance to use the shampoo a few times as it arrived quite late. However, I really like the smell of the shampoo and my scalp is slowly improving with each wash. At first, I felt like the shampoo was too drying and that worried me but my scalp is improving so that's good!

No scratching and feels like pudding

I have been struggling to keep my husband from using all my product. It smells wonderful, like coconuts, and goes on, as my husband says, like putting pudding on your head. My hair is soft and full, I don't scratch any more and I only use the conditioner every second time. Love it!!

Relief from the winter dryness

Every year during the winter season my skin gets very dry and my head starts to look like it’s snowing every day. I was very excited to try the Dove Derma+Care Scalp Dryness & Itch Relief Anti-Dandruff for free from ChickAdvisor. First, I loved the smell as the previous dandruff shampoos I tried always had a very chemical scent. After using it only a couple of times, I noticed my scalp was less itchy and there were no more flakes. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has dry scalp.
