Fantastic Product At An INCREDIBLE Price! (Why Pay More?!)

With over 20 years within the cosmetics/makeup industry, I have used everything from $40 prestige to $2.99 mascaras, and have never understood why some women pay a lot for mascara when there are absolutely AWESOME, inexpensive dupes available!

Last Christmas, I bought a duo gift set of Essence's I ❤️ Extreme Crazy Volume (regular, pink tube) and the waterproof version (blue tube). Though I can't say I was thrilled with the waterproof version—different style brush, formula flaked, different result—I swear the regular version is a near-dupe for $33 BeneFit "They're Real". Also, a near dupe for long-ago discontinued, also pricey Smashbox Hyperlash mascara.

$4.99 for "wow" factor? Yes, please! (especially since mascaras should be replaced every 3 months)

I love that I'm not only able to get every little lash, but also right to the root and waterline, giving the illusion of thicker lashes. Layered in 2 coats, applied over a primer: WOW!

The consistency is buildable, but not too thin or watery. I've found that the product wears for about 8 hours without beginning to scatter or smudge. No irritation when I wear my contact lenses either.

Unlike BeneFit's "They're Real", I ❤️ Extreme Volume Mascara from Essence is a breeze to remove at the end of the day. An oil-based product is not necessary, nor is tugging at lashes; just a quick sweep of micellare water, eye makeup remover, or a regular cleanser, and it's GONE! No residue left behind.

There is no need to pay more for a mascara, unless you feel the need to have prestige products in your arsenal. (Save the money for better skincare and foundation!) The only complaint I have about this product: it's not available in black/brown, brown, navy, or aubergine (if I want a softer look).

I absolutely LOVE this mascara!! It is amazing and inexpensive too! I always get people asking me where I get my eyelashes done when I wear it. I will never change mascaras again.

Better than I expected!

I bought this mascara because it was not expensive...I had bought an expensive brand and was very disappointed. I chose this one based on the price & the color caught my eye lol! This is without a doubt the best product I’ve used in a long time. It has a nice size wand and the mascara is smooth- no clumps; long wearing and makes my short, barely visible lashes look beautiful. Thank you Essence for saving my mascara woes! I’ll def buy again.

I Love Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara

C'est le premier produit que j'essais de la marque Essence et je suis agréablement surprise. C'est une marque très abordable et le mascara I Love Extreme Crazy Volume est génial. La grosse brosse fibreuse donne un volume de fou aux cils ainsi qu'une longueur considérable. Pour son mini prix et son efficacité, c'est maintenant un essentiel dans ma trousse beauté.

Fabulous Full lashes for less

I bought this because the girl working at shoppers reccomended it as a cheap effective and good quality mascara so i figured for 4.99 why not try it. Let me just say i am SO GLAD that i did!! The amount of compliments that i have recieved from strangers is actually crazy! I used cover girl and maybelline products up until that point and not once had i ever got a compliment which leads me to believe that name brand isnt always everything. Essence products are all made in Europe and are sold exclusively at Shoppers Drugmart and perhaps a few other stores so you will not find it at a walmart but for the price and quality i got i couldnt be happier!!

J'avais beaucoup entendu parler de ce mascara sur internet et l'essayer a été une très bonne décision. Ce mascara coûte moins de 6 $, ce qui est plus qu'abordable ! Je l'utilise avec un autre mascara et chaque fois que j'en porte, j'ai des compliments sur mes cils. On me demande souvent si ce sont mes vrais cils, ce qui est flatteur pour un mascara si peu dispendieux.

This mascara is a fairly decent product for the price. I picked this up in Toronto while traveling, as I forgot my mascara at home. It does volumize the lashes fairly well. With that being said, it does have the tendency to clump. The brush dispenses too much product, so have to be very careful applying it. It's a decent mascara if you're looking for something affordable, but use a very light hand.

J'ADORE ce mascara ! Presque chaque fois que je le mets, j'ai des commentaires sur mes yeux venant d'inconnus! Je recommande ce mascara pour un look très noir et imposant! Faire attention car lorsque le tube est neuf, il faut longtemps gratter notre brosse sur l'embout pour enlever l'excédent car sinon tous les cils se collent etc.

Pour celles d'entre vous qui comme moi n'ont pas 30$ et plus à dépenser sur un mascara, celui proposé par essence est une excellente option ! Ce mascara donne beaucoup de volume après un seul passage de la brosse sur les cils (peut-être un peu trop dramatique à mon goût, en fait, surtout pour les cils du bas). Ce mascara va me durer une éternité et son prix est très abordable. Par contre, je suis un peu déçue de la grosseur de la brosse, car elle permet un moins bon contrôle de la quantité de produit appliqué sur les cils. Je vais probablement le racheter puisque ce mascara dure toute la journée et la teinte noire est très très noire.
