Best bang for your buck!

I have been using the lip liners created by essence going on 10 years now. When my son was first born and I became a single mother, money was tight. But I have always been a woman that loves makeup and presenting myself in the best light possible. But during those days, I couldn't afford the luxury make up that I adored.
That's when I discovered essence lip liners. There are so many beautiful colours, to go with whichever look I am striving for, on any given day. I definitely have a few favorites, but I love them all. The application is smooth and the pigment is fairly well for such an affordable product. Even though I am better off financially, I still purchase this product because of how well it works. The nude colours are my favourite.

Smooth, creamy and stays on for a while, Would recommend for people on a budge, less than $4?? Has an appropriate shade range, but could have more variety.

Great value and stays put all day!

Essence cosmetics has always been put away in this weird corner of my local drugstore, but over the Christmas holidays, I came upon their display (finally) as I've started to more intentionally look for their products. The counter was low key, and I only wanted to try the lip liner because it had been recommended as a good value product by a beauty guru youtuber.

I've tried my hand at other drugstore brand lip liners before, and those have always been hit or miss. My complain is that they're usually too hard (being pencil), so the application has never been easy. No worries, went in with an open mind - afterall, worst case scenario, I lose $1.99 on this product.

When I got around to trying it back at home, it was pretty awesome. The product takes a little bit of time (say 10-15 seconds?) to warm up, and the formula is a little bit dry. All that being said, however, it is simply unbeatable value for what you get. I wear this lip liner almost every day now, and works great as a base for other less long-lasting lip products to sit on top. I also combine this with a lip oil/gloss every so often, and find the lip liner (used to fill in the whole lip, not just line) really helps to extend longevity of products that typically just smear or fade with food and drink.

Keep in mind this is a $2 lip liner - the quality won't be like NARS (I love their lip crayons), but is a great everyday alternative. Highly recommend and I hope they don't phase this out of their product line up. Wish they had more colours, but what they currently offer are the most basic pinks / berries which, again, is perfect for everyday applications.

Amazing for the price

This lipliner is under $5 and works just as well, an even better, than my mac lipliners! I have the shade satin mauve and and in the nude and they're both so creamy and pigmented! Definitely getting more shades!

For 3 dollars this is an excellent product. I use it to overdraw my lips as it almost perfectly matches my natural lip colour. I find that this will last about 4 hours until I eat lunch, drink coffee, etc. Other than that it's great and I would highly recommend.

It's cheap. The perfect nude for my darker pigmented lips. It glides on gently and doesn't tug. You cant beat the price/quality. I like the formula better than my MAC lip liners. The only down side is not a lot of colour selection in the product line but the ones availble work for most skin tones.

MY FAVORITE LIP LINER!!!! I can't believe how inexpensive this product is. The colour is gorgeous and the liner doesn't bleed or leave a horrendous outline when your lipstick rubs off!

This is a great lipliner for an amazing $2 price.
The formula is smooth and opaque.
