Most of the ones I own are good and piggmentted but some pinks that I have are not and they are streaky.
I have a few Essie polishes and the quality is very inconsistent. The luxe effects (glitters, etc) are great, but the coloured polishes are among the worst quality I've seen, despite the high price. Very thick yet streaky, a very strong odor, and some dry to a semi-matte finish, even when they aren't advertised to being matte. They have an awesome selection of colours though.
As a certified nail technician i have to admit that Essie isn't my favorite brand. I have about a dozen different colors and I don't really like the way it goes on the nails, many times the color from the bottle doesn't actually apply that color on you nail and it takes a really long time to dry even with a fast drying top coat. I've tried my Essie nail polish's with tons of different base coats, and top coats but the manicure doesn't last as long as other nail polish brands. Overall I feel that there are better brands of nail polishes out there. However i must admit that they have great, original colors, its just to bad that its doesn't come out that color on the nails.
I love some colours especially the neutrals but the darker colours are a bit too thin.
My go to shade is MADEMOISELLE which is a beautiful neutral which leaves a great shimmer, pinkish tint and seems to lengthen my generally short nails.
I wish the polish was less expensive.
Not a bad product I find with their darker colors you do have to reapply at least three times. Very highly priced for a so so nail polish.
Essie nail polishes come in a range of really lovely colors and cute bottles. Although I can't say I'm impressed
by the way chip within the first day of wear. For the price of these polishes the longevity of the product could be much better!
If you are to use this nail polish make sure you have a very good top coat to put over it!
Essie smudges and the dry factor is not good the and when I layer it will never dry.
The colours in essies range are lovely and the packaging is great but they are on the pricey side especially in Canada and after trying sittin pretty im not sure if they are worth it. The pigmentation was not that great it took 3 coats to get it fully pigmented and i waited 10 minutes in between the coats but it still did not dry. 2 hours after painting my nails they still dented and looked horrible. I left the polish on to see what would happen and they dried the next day but by then were a mess.I thought that was horrible and im now scared to try essie again as its not a cheap brand and the colous can be duped by less expensive brands. Do not recommend.
I've tried, again and again, to grow to like this product for for this product to finally "wow" me as it has apparently been doing so to others, however the quality of Essie nail polishes is really bellow average.
Every time I've tried painting my nails with any colour of theirs, I always get little tiny bubbles that form as the polish dries.
It really sucks because I love many of the colours that they carry!! :(
