    If you die they'll never stop charging and won't refund fami

    FIDO Refused to cancel and stop payments on my Mom's phone after she died despite our trying in store, over several phone calls - until I got executorship from the courts which took 8 months. They refused to stop billing and charging the phone even though it just sat in a drawer. When I got executorship they said they'd only talk to me and handle it then. When I finally did they REFUSED to refund the 8 months of charges for a phone of a deceased person that was unused and sitting in a drawer. They irony - on one of the many phone calls where I was on hold or transferred to several people all saying the same thing they again asked for more account info which I could only get by opening her phone and finding it in her fido email. Because I opened the phone to look for it that was "usage" and for that I lost the entire 8 months - they refused to refund it as there was evidence of it being used (for them). Garbage. This is how they act when you die. They will keep bleeding you until they can't any longer then treat your family like trash.

    Stay away from Fido!

    They make promises and they get away about it without carrying if they will loose the customer! They are charging nomad fees even without using their service! Several times service was down even for a couple of days. These people they are just don't care about people paying their income and their profit! Same service is much less expensive around 6 euros in Europe conparing to what they're stealing from us in North America

    Terrible company

    They will try and take as much money from you as they can even if you did not agree to give them that money if there are ever any mistakes made with your bill. They are thieves. They don’t care about their customers at all and won’t hesitate to try and find any way to rob you. If they promise you a service make sure to check paperwork because they don’t care at all what they told you you are getting it could be something else and you will get charged. It’s one experience but I spoke to a couple people high level in the company and both tried to take more money than I promised to them. They don’t care. They just want as much money as they can get out of you.

    The Support is TERRIBLE!

    I live in Edmonton, Alberta. A few years ago I was a Fido customer, but I switched to Freedom. then I switched back to Fido recently because their Winback team gave me an "amazing" offer: 25gb internet + iPhone 12 (64gb) = 75.03 (including tax) and an additional one-time 300$ credit. I Googled and realized that their website was already offering the same plan but without the credit. So the offer is basically a one-time 300$ credit, so I took it. Now it has been 5 months that I joined but I have not received the 300$ credit yet! I chatted with their online support like 20 times but they are not able to fix this simple issue.

    I am thinking that they are not honouring what they offered me initially! This is because:
    1) In my earlier chats (first 10 times) with their customer service, they were telling me that they put a call back request for their winback team to call me (in the next 48 hours) and resolve the issue, but they never called! They just didn't listen to me and kept telling me the same story after 48 hours that I was wondering why they didn't call: winback team has to fix the issue.
    2) Then one agent did something else. They connected me to the "technical support". Then they told me that they can apply the offer directly! But it takes 2 billing cycles! Since then, everytime I chat with the support, they keep telling me that you will see the discount in your next bill. This happened for 2 other additional billing cycles. Now I chatted again and the agent told me the same new story!
    2) More importantly, the winback team initially changed the offer several times and argued that it is the same offer but with different payment configurations. They changed the offer two times and everytime they were like: "it is basically the same, but instead of this you will get that". But when I calculate, I could prove to the agent that they are changing the offer in a way that they could ditch some of the discounts. Finally, I told them, based on my calculations, that your new offer now would only makes sense and it is equal to what you told me previously if it comes with the 300$ credit. They confirmed, but based on my first experience mentioned above, they were probably like: "Ok, but we won't see each other again!"

    Conclusions:
    1) If you receive any kind of offer from Fido, do not buy it at the beginning. Redo the calculations for yourself. Everytime they change the offer payments and say something like "it is basically the same but instead of that you will get this", do not accept it until you are 100% sure that you will receive the same amount. Be very careful about the discounts, make sure that you understand everything correctly.
    2) I believe the support wants you to forget about everything. That is why they keep telling me that "winback will call you back" or "the discount will be applied in the next 2 bills". They postpone the process with the hope that you forget to follow up. This easily happens especially when you create an auto payment. Create reminders for the next billing cycle to check everything again and follow up the process.
    3) Always chat with the agents to print out your chat transcript for your reference. I could follow up the process just saying to the new agent that they can review my previous chats. I can say that since their "technical support" confirmed my discount and I have my chats in my email, they have to resolve it someday!

    I have been with fido Mobile for more then 8 years now and I've never had any problems, the prices are fair and their customer service is good and friendly

    Never go with this company. They are liars and cheaters

    Please never go for this company they are liars and cheaters. They put me on a $55 a month plan which included data but my phone never got data as soon as I left my house it would never work. I made over 20 phone calls and was on hold for over 30 hours. The end result is they sent me a $700 bill saying I had to pay for all the so-called data that I couldn’t access a single time. And then change my phone plan to talk and text only and they are bombarding me with thousand dollar bill saying I have to pay the phones upfront because I wouldn’t pay for services I never received . They are liars and cheaters and extremely unhelpful they just try and steal your money and rob you without delivering product or service

    Run away !

    Terrible service.
    I had to wait an incredibly long time to contact customer service (and on top of it, I had an employee leave in the middle of explaining my problem).
    I find myself paying a service charge because my account, which was supposed to be frozen for an additional month, has unfrozen because the person to whom I had made the request was not able to tell the difference between August and September.
    Account that I'm not using this month but that cost me 40$ to throw out the window...
    And apparently at the beginning of the month there's no way to delete a plan !
    So I decided to leave because I don't want to pay for their mistakes ! 🙄
    In addition my number was regularly spammed by numbers from African countries and by numbers from China: so it's not a big loss

    Fido is a scam

    Fido is a scam. Switches off wifi at home. Has opting options for temporary additional coverage you never get rid of. They are always more and more and when you call to clarify they still say you didnt clarify. Sell you phones the wifi sucks for a reason. Same house. Bill's always doubled and more than the quote. Don't like it fido? Cj mason look me up I am real

    WORST SERVICE

    I've been with Fido for over 10 years. I'm paying for 3 cellphone plans (no contract). I just bought a new phone and i asked them to send me the nano card i needed for my new phone and i NEVER got any guidance or help for them. I've been transfer to supervisors twice and each one made me wait over 1h so i had to hung up. FIDO is the WORST!!!! they DO NOT VALUE long time customers at al. they won't do anything to help you at all.
    Go with another company as others have better service and they show you some value.
    I DO NOT recommend FIDO at all!!!

    The staff was very rude.
    The reason I canceled my service with fido is pretty much because of the way they treat customers
    Especially at a fido store like this one.
