I received this as part of my review I was given two boxes to use in a span of a few months. I was quite eager to try out this at home hair dye since I read such positive things about it. At the time I haven't dyed my hair in more than half a year so my previous hair colour was grown out. So picture high lights half way down my hair. Then to top it off my late 20s self was sprouting some grays! Only one or two but they stood out on my light brown hair. I picked the Mocacino shade which is an ASH brown. My hair has golden undertones to it so it pulls a lot of gold with any dyes I get. The application of the dye was pretty straight forward and typical of most at home dyes. I applied the entire bottle of dye and waited 30min to go and wash it out. After my hair was dried I inspected the colour. Not to my surprise it was looking more golden brown than ash like the box claimed it would be. That wasn't an issue as the next couple of days the brassiness toned down. Now I wasn't too thrilled with the first application as it faded quite quickly and unevenly.

So appon the arrival of the second box of my shade I applied it more diligently and rubbed it in more focusing more on the ends that seem to fade(most likely since they weren't new growth) After washing it out and applying the conditioner the dye comes with(really great stuff my hair felt instantly soft and tangle free after rinsing it out). I dried my hair but before that I applied the colour sheild that was part of my review. I noticed it was a lot shiner(most likely due to the colour shield) and the colour was more rich this time.

Over all I'm satisfied and don't have a lot bad to say about the product the only cons are probably my lack of colour know how and my hairs tendency to make almost any shade turn golden.

I would highly suggest this hair dye to anyone whose looking to replace their current or to try a new brand or just if you want to get rid of your greys. The smell of the dye is pleasent too which makes the experience more pleasant. Garnier Nutrisse Cream Hair Color is an all around good product and would recommend it to friends.

I was chosen to review this alongside the Fructis Color Shield products as part of the Chick Advisor Product Club was so excited since my hair needed colouring

I love the non drip formula, it was easy to work through the hair and one box was enough to cover my fairly long and thick hair, although it does have quite a strong smell which seemed to stay past rinsing. A big plus for me was the latex gloves, I hate those huge plastic hands ones. Like some others have mentioned in their reviews, despite rinsing for what seemed like forever, it did not rinse completely clear and that may be part to blame for the 'crunchy' feeling it left my hair, even after using the conditioner that came with it. However once I washed and styled my hair the next day it was back to normal.

I picked Blackcurrant and I love the colour, I have some grey around the part in my hair and I found those to be bright pink for a few days but they soon toned down and so many people commented on the colour.

On my second colouring, I left it on for a little less time than advised and after the water ran mostly clear, I shampooed and no crunchy feeling, so I would definitely use it again now that I have the timing for my hair worked out

I was chosen to try out the colour, shampoo, conditioner and colour shield from this brand, which was really exciting because I regularly colour my hair and was thrilled to try out an entire collection of products like this. I picked out the hair dye in the colour. "Roasted Coffee". When I received the package, I thought this colour was way too red for my liking, but I dyed it away to try it out, I am trooper Chickadvisor! Anyway, it didn't pull too red surprisingly, maybe it geled well with my hair, it looked really good.

The application was easier than most hair dyed that I have used in the past, it did not drip when applying and the gloves helped it applying it nicely. I like that this is a cream product because you can get it totally across your hair. Also the conditioning cream that came with this is large, which I love, I always look forward to the conditioning creams that come with hair dye, it may sound weird, but I find them so nourishing to your hair and leave it smelling amazing, this hair dye had a great one.

I would totally recommend this hair dye, I am already planning on what colour I am dying it next!

Thanks to the Product review club and Garnier for letting me try out these products including this one. I have never tried permanent hair dyes before. I liked my first hair color experience and it wasn't as messy and I imagined it to be. I read the other reviews saying that the smell was pleasant...Maybe it's just me and my sensitive nose, but I could smell the fumes and my eyes watered. Perhaps the other reviewers were comparing it to other dyes they've tried. In the directions, youre supposed to rinse your hair until the color of the water runs clear. That never happened, so I just stopped rinsing after 5-10 minutes of running slightly tinted water.

The the entire color shield line has great packaging, smells great and works well. My hair was healthy and shiny even before the color treatment. That was one of the reasons I have never used permanent dyes - the fear of ruining my hair. After a month or so, the color is still here, hasn't faded and my hair is still healthy and shiny. To be honest, there isn't too much of a difference between using the color shield and not using it. However, it might be because my hair is naturally dark (I chose the hair color: Sangria -a red-brown color) and the difference cant be seen or isn't noticeable.

My one complaint is that after dying your hair, you can still smell the ammonia in your hair even after a couple of washes. I am sure that is what happens with all permanent dyes, but it bothered me nevertheless.

Overall, I am happy with the Nutrisse Cream and am happy I was given the chance to try these products and if I were ever to dye my hair again, I would certainly go back to this.

I was fortunate enough be a product tester for the Garnier Nutrisse cream hair colour , shampoo, conditioner and colour shield. I've been using hair colour for years, so I was curious to see how this product worked. Overall, I would say the product is pretty good. I am more than 50% grey (I think!!) and it covered perfectly. As far as the Color Shield Shampoo, Conditioner, and Instant Color Sealer products are concerned they were fantastic!! I've never used a colour sealer before but I actually think it's helping to keep my colour longer!! My hair looks great and I would definitely recommend this product. I will definitely be buying it myself.

i received this garnier nutrisse hair colour, shampooo, conditioner and colour shield through the product review club - yay! i thought the scent was pleasant (better than many) and i really liked the thicker cream for fewer drips and messes - bonus points for that! the colour itself was a good match for my natural shade so i was pleased with my choice, cedar. it did a good job of covering the greys and seemed to add a little extra shine to my locks. overall it was easy to mix and use and the results were very good.

the shampoo and conditioner smell great and, together with the colour shield, make a nice hair care team. i'm not convinced they do a better job of cleaning or conditioning than other products i've used but so far they seem to be preserving my colour, which is very important to me. i really like the colour shield! it's got a nice light texture and kind of feels like a serum. besides prolonging the life of my colour, the shield keeps the frizzies down and gives my curls a little extra definition.

i would buy this hair colour again for the thicker, less-mess formula and the grey coverage. the colour shield, if it continues to prove its effectiveness, will be a nice addition to my regime, as well! the shampoo and conditioner are lovely but so far i'm not sure they're the best i've tried. more time will tell.....

I have tried many different brands of at home hair dye and this is at the top of the list. I really like and appreciate that this dye is ammonia free, so it doesn't burn my nose and my scalp. It was quite the opposite-it smelled nice and fruity (as do all of their products), it did not burn my scalp at all or make it itchy, and it was a cream formula so it wasn't drippy and it spread through my hair easily. The box said it would give richer, longer lasting color and it delivered! It's been more than a month since i colored my hair and I got a compliment the other day that my color looked "so rich" and my hair "shiny".

This product did not disappoint, I recommend it and will be using it in the future.

The colour i had chosen was #45 Dark Mahogany Brown. I was happy with the colour and that it was easy to put on to your hair and not make a mess as it stayed in and did not drip.
Also it was not a strong smell like some hair colouring.
Though i did find it to fade but i would still purchase it.

Thank you Chickadvisor.com for sending me a box of the Garnier Nutrisse Cream in Liquorice #10 to review. This hair dye provides a long-lasting grey coverage, and the gentle formula leaves my hair incredibly soft with a brilliant glossy shine.

The dye is rich, creamy, and thick so I had no dripping issues. Yay! The product did lightly stain my scalp and the bathtub but the staining did not cause irreversible damage. Thankfully, the light stain can be lightly scrubbed away. My hair color is now a healthy deep black – the color matches my natural hair color quite precisely. I would repurchase the Garnier Nutrisse Cream Hair Color and I suggest my friends and family to check this product out.

I have been using Nice and Easy for the longest time and i would find out within a couple days my hair was so dry and frizzy it was horrible. I had recieved a coupon for Garnier Nutrisse and decided to try it, I love it! My hair hasnt felt this nurished in a long time and it is touchably soft and the colour is brilliant. I will never touch another hair dye again. Totally recommended!
