As you can see in the photo, I got a very light brown color. I left it on for about 45min and when my hair was dry, it actually looked DARKER. The reason I bought this hair dye is so that I can cover my roots and go slightly lighter than the previous color I dyed it. My roots are less apparent but still show in certain lightings. I was disappointed that my hair color did not get lighter and will probably dye again with another brand/color. Smelled nicer than most dyes and pretty even when used with a hair coloring brush, but I don't think I'll buy again.

I am piss broke right now and have nasty grey showing. I picked this up and used it and now I have no grey.

I recommend this product (more so if you can get it as cheap as I did) The color is fine and I'm happy.

I got this from the peeps at Garnier at an event and thought, um, there is NO WAY I am going to colour my own hair!!

I get my hair coloured/highlighted every 5 weeks because I have a lot of premature grays. I've been struggling with them since I was 18 and discovered early on I have zero skill at doing my own hair. Previous attempts have been disastrous. I'll never forget an incident where my MIL came to visit via the train after I had just done my own hair and the first words out of her mouth were, "Ali your hair looks terrible!" She meant well, just a very honest woman. My hair was blotchy, uneven and way too dark. Since that day I vowed I would never go it alone again.

But... going to the salon that often is really expensive. So I decided to risk it. I used it just on the roots so that evidence of screwing up would be minimal. The results turned out amazing. There was no difference in colour between my roots and the rest of my hair, except those irritating sparkling grays were gone and my hair was considerably shinier and softer. I kept the colour on for the minimal amount of time and found that it lasted really well until my next regular hair appointment. The #50 colour blended so well it looked like a professional job.

I plan on using this again between hair colourings so I can stretch my salon visits to every 2 months instead. It's great for in between visits but would work just as well as an all-over all the time hair colour.
