    Business / Entreprenerial reads

I found Sophia Amoruso's account of how she got to found NastyGal inspirational and humbling. She played around with vintage pieces she sold on a non-descript eBay shop, adapted pieces in her small apartment and worked a string of jobs to get to where she was in GIRLBOSS - a NYT bestselling author and CEO of clothing brand NastyGal. This story tells you success isn't always the straight road you'll anticipate it to be and to be patient.

    Not the most modest author

I personally did not like this book. i did enjoy the message, but i felt quite a bit of the book felt like she was saying “she how i did this? Arent i amazing? Thats just how you be successful. See how successful I am?!” Pretty sure her brand value (website) has decreased quite a bit In value too. I have read much better self empowerment books that were much better written .

    great for young adults

This book would be a great high school graduation present. The author details her rise through pure hard work and staying true. She gets repetitive in convincing the reader how punk and unconventional she is but then loses me with her shallow comments about Prada shoes and porsches. Towards the end of the book she gives good resume, cover letters and entrance interview tips. It was an easy decent read but not life changing.

I liked the book. It is not life changing but Sophia gives some good advice for girls who want to start their own company. The book is funny and easy to read as well.

This was a real disappointment for me because I really love Nasty girl clothing. While the stories were a real look into Sophia's life, the rest of it just seem to repeat but in different words. Also if there wasn't for guest spot for people to write the book would have not been half as good. She could have really had even shorter book. Just was boring repetitive.
