Works great

I used it on my friends hair as I was unable to use it myself. Very easy to mix and apply. It definitely lightened up her hair the perfect amount to use the temporary color afterwards. Omce im avle to use myself I'll definitely be buying it to try it out myself.

Does what its supposed to but odd when paired

This box of bleach does what it was supposed to, but I found that i did have to leave the hair bleach and dye on much longer than suggested on the box due to my dark hair pigment. I would image if you had a lighter brunette or a dark blonde hair, the time frames stated on the box would be enough.

However, despite doing what it mostly said it would do, the concept seems a little odd to me. I also received the blue semi-permanent hair dye for testing purposes. However, I realized after the procedure that because the dye is semi-permanent, you need to keep up with colouring your hair or you do risk it looking like bleach after the first 10 or so washes). As I am not ready to commit to a regular routine of colouring my hair pastel colours (namely blue pink and purple), iI will likely not be repurchasing this item again

The lightening

I used the lightening product to take out and lighten my hair enough to apply the creative color. I let it sit for an extra bit so when it was time to rinse i noticed it had done a wonderful job at lightening my hair enough for me to use my color. It didnt have an over powering smell like some products and was very easy to use. I was very happy to get this for #free so i could give it a wirel.

use 2 boxes for sure

okay so this product worked pretty well except for the fact that only some of my hair actually lightened. My roots went blond but the bottom of my hair stayed dark which is not good. Not sure if this happened because I have thick hair or because I have previously (in July) used a permanent black hair dye. I am currently putting the red on and it seems to only be working on the pieces that lightened so I'm thinking it's gonna look a little ridiculous. I believe this product will work for some but if you have thick/black hair I would be very careful.

This lightened stuff worked amazing on my dark brown hair

This lightened worked amazing!!! I have very dark brown hair and I was very sceptical to try at home bleach BUT it worked amazingly,way better than I ever expected. It was quick,easy and had no horrible smell like I’ve had from the salons. I’m definetly going to be buying more to do my whole head and I will be recommending this product to everyone. My husband even did his hair and it worked great on his dirty blonde hair.

Not damaging,just not super effective

I found the Got2B lightener to be a basic bleach, while it didn't create any drastic damage it certainly did dry my hair out. The smell isn't awful it's tolerable, however I only lightened about 3 levels (fine since I was going red!) I can't say it would be effective enough to go pale colors, maybe after a 2nd application though!

Might be good but its not for me

Got the lightener for free from Chick Advisor in my kit to colour my hair. I wasn't too impressed with it. It seemed to dry my hair out but it did a very good job at making the colour lighter.

Great, but slightly drying.

I received this product for free through the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. I do not like lightening my hair and generally try to avoid it, however I decided to use this lightener on my already deep red hair to use the Pillar Box Red that I also received. I have ombre black to red hair, and by the time I had finished with this product my red was a light orange tone. I did find this slightly drying to my hair, as with all lightening products, and will likely not reuse it. Thanks got2b and ChickAdvisor.

Good Lightener

This hair lightener worked well. It lightened my brown hair enough that I was able to apply a red overtop and have it work. It was easy to use and doesn’t smell bad.

Did what it was supposed to do

I have very dark hair and it did have an issue turning it all the same colour, some areas came out darker than others and some came out quite patchy. It was very quick and easy to use
