A good basic purple shampoo

I was given the opportunity to try out John Frieda’s Intense Purple Shampoo, Violet Crush for Blondes for free. I wash my hair about 1-2 times per week to maintain colour and health. I’ve tried A LOT of blonde shampoos, salon brands and your regular department store options. I was initially surprised (and pleased) to see this one was actually a vivid purple, normally you only get this in the premium salon brands. After a few uses I was pretty happy with results, I did notice a slight difference in lessening my brassy tones. I would definitely recommend this for any blondes new to the purple shampoo realm. That being said it was not as good as my premium brand at reducing brassy tones or maintaining the ashiness I look for. As soon as I used my high end shampoo I noticed an immediate improvement and for that reason alone I’ll be sticking with my premium brand.

Purple Shampoo

This purple shampoo is great for being rid of those orange:brassy tones out of your hair. The only problem is it’s pretty drying to your hair so I recommend using a very nourishing Conditioner.

I dye my hair blond I have tried both the shampoo and conditioner, it has visibly lightened my hair it takes out the brassiness. The scent is amazing thanks John Freida!

Blondes best friend

It’s not my go to purple shampoo but it’s my in between purple shampoo. I use this in between the use of my expensive purple shampoo and it works great for that use! Brightens up those highlights!

Silver shampoo equivalent?

I was recommended this blonder shampoo however I think it's highly priced for the results. Although as a basic shampoo it worked well, I would rather spend a lot less to get a product that would have the same results.

Banish Brassiness

I've used a lot of John Frieda products so was interested to try this to see how it would help with brassy tones on my blonde hair. First off, it's a huge tube so will last for ages. The decadent purple shampoo feels rich and nourishing when using, and tones down brassy tones, leaving my hair with cooler ashy tones.

It seems good!

I’m not sure if it worked on the first wash but after the second time using it, it seemed to have taken some brassiness away. The smell and texture was really lovely though! All in all, it’s a nice product!

Great texture and apperance

At first I used this as a standalone shampoo in place of my own but I felt it didn't clean my hair properly so the next time I sued it after washing my hair with my current shampoo and the results were a lot better. I can definitely notice a difference in my bleached hair and the violet pigment does adjust the sharper yellow tones. I really love the look of the liquid, a very shiny purple with an iridescent flick and the viscosity is perfect. Very pleasant smelling unlike some purple shampoos.

I love this product it got rid of my dirty brassy yellow tones and made highlights in my hair recommended to friends and family
My hair was very soft and smelled lovely too I even goi to buy the conditioner for this too and will use continuously to see the real benefits of this

Not as good as I was hoping

I likwd this product because you only need a small amount to have a good amount of lather on your hair.
I found it didn't brighten my hair as much as I was expecting but overall it left it clean and soft
