Great Product, Not Cruelty Free

The mascara itself is incredible. It's long lasting, it's durable, and it looks great. The product arrived at my home late (which is why this review is a little late), so I only had three days to try it, but it held up well. The first day I was wearing it, I had to fill 100 water balloons, most of which were exploding on me. The mascara ran a little, but I had no raccoon eyes, and it still looked great. Day two got caught in the pouring rain, no issues.

If I'm being honest, it's the best mascara I've ever bought. Unfortunately, after receiving the product and doing some research, I learned that not only is Lancôme NOT cruelty-free, but they really couldn't care less about it based on how blatant it is that they do animal testing.

For that reason alone, I will not be buying the product again. Which is unfortunate, because it would have been my new go-to mascara.

Bottom line: lovely long lashes, staying power, easy removal

If you want to add dramatic length to your lashes, you should definitely give Monsieur Big Mascara try!

I only had one chance to try this mascara, but I have a great first impression. My go-to mascara is normally Benefits They're Real. Monsieur Big gives me better length, but less volume. It is a rich, super-black formula that applies easily. Normally I prefer the plastic cone-shaped bristles because I find that they comb through my lashes better, but Lancôme's brush works well to apply evenly and not lump my lashes together.

Like any other mascara, it clumps if you apply it too thick or don't allow layers to dry between applications. That being said, I didn't see much need to apply the second coat, as just one coat yielded long, swooping lashes. For a more dramatic look, I will try to dab it on a little heavier near the roots, to bulk up the base of my lashes for the illusion of more volume.

This mascara stayed in place all day - no flaking off. And when I was ready to take it off, it wipes away with micellar water. Or, I skipped the remover for one eye and just used my regular facial cleanser, which worked really well, too.

Bottom line: lovely long lashes, staying power, easy removal. It's really a great mascara and I will recommend it to my friends. I'm still looking for a mascara to give me falsie-grade volume, though.

A little goes a long way

Gives great volume and length, just a couple layers give a false lash look. The product does go on quite wet, so you need to wait a little in between applications if you are putting on more than one layer, otherwise it does clump. Fortunately, you don't really need to layer it and you can still get a noticeable difference. I like it better than drugstore mascaras, but I wouldn't say it's my favourite mascara. For the price, I don't know if I would repurchase or recommend to a friend. It's good, and a little does go a long way, but there are other comparable products that you can buy for less.

BIG LASHES but clumpy

I really do love this mascara. It gives my lashes extreme volume and crazy length and makes them look like falsies however it's a difficult mascara to work with. It can be clumpy if you apply it in a hurry because a lot of product sticks to the brush and deposits too much on your lashes. However if you take the time to apply it and wiggle the brush through your lashes, you can avoid the clumps! Plus, it's long lasting and doesn't smudge or flake off during the day.

J'ai reçu le mascara Monsieur big de Lancôme gratuitement afin d'en faire l'essai. J'ai bien aimé le mascara car il a donné du volume et de la longueur à mes cils, par contre, je n'ai pas aimé la brosse. Elle faisait en sorte que mes cils collaient entre eux et faisaient des "motons". Je devais souvent repasser la brosse d'un autre mascara. Longue tenu et sans salissure au courant de la journée. Malgré la brosse, je le recommande fortement!

Tried out the new Lancôme Monsieur Big Mascara!
When I first opened it, the brush looked like it had a lot of product which concerned me because I was afraid my lashes would look clumpy. I still applied it as is and it did have a lot more product on my lashes than my usual mascara I usually wear, it was okay after I used a clean mascara spooley wand and brushed the excess product off my lashes. The results did give my lashes more volume and some length! Just wished it didn't dispense so much product on the brush though. Other than that, pretty good!

Like it!

This mascara does what it says, that is make the lashes look big. It has a big brush, slightly wet formula and nice bristles. Also, it does not clump up the lashes. However, I always prefer somewhat dry formula so I will put it away for a couple of weeks and then go back into it for best results.

Pump Up The Volume

Whoa, this mascara makes my lashes more full and longer. It feels light and no smell.

However the formula is a little wet and I like the big brush but it gets a lot of product on it. My tip is to remove the excess mascara before applying otherwise you get too much product on your lashes and it will smudge around your eye and clump your lashes together.

I still recommend, it looks and works beautifully when applied right. Be careful with the application. Less is More.

Big Bold Lashes

I normally use a lash primer to amplify my lashes but with Monsieur Big I didn't need it. Loved the brush even though it doesn't look much different from the regular mascara brushes. With one swoop and it's coated in mascara that does not look thick and clumpy but still provides a beautiful bold black colour to my lashes. I also enjoyed how easy it is to use on the lower lashes as well. I usually find bold mascaras to be a bit too harsh on the thinner and lower lashes but the Monsieur Big works perfectly fine. I'm glad to have tried this one 'cause now I don't have to invest in two mascaras (one for upper and one for lower lashes). #gift

Amazing Lashes!

I received the Lancôme Monsieur Big Mascara as a free gift as part of ChickAdvisor's Product Review Club.

The packaging claims that the mascara adds volume and will not clump, flake, or smudge. I kept this on during the day for about 15 hours and have to say that these claims are true! My mascara the same at the end of the day as it did in the morning when I applied it.

Compared to my usual mascara, the application wand did not clump and applied the mascara very evenly.

I would definitely purchase again!
