HORRIBLE PRODUCT. Coughing up dye, can't breathe.

I am a 24y/o from Canada and had bought the lavender and the light pink. Both transfer to hands, neck, face, clothes (anything your hair can touch even after dry.) During the process of spraying it on my hair I must have inhaled it, I have been coughing up light purple/pink and blew out the same colour from my nose. Cannot take deep breathes. I would go to the hospital if this wasn't during a pandemic. That is the only reason I'm on this site, to see if other people have suffered from inhalation as well.. and they have... Yet still no product warnings... Don't waste you're money and DO NOT LET KIDS USE.

LOREAL Colorista 1-day spray does what it is intended to do!

This 1-day colour spray worked fantastic in my hair for the short-term change I was looking for. I purchased the pastel pink and sprayed it all over my blonde hair. It is around $13 and lasted me one use (people with lots of hair might need 2 bottles). It comes out of the bottle quickly so I held it back extra far from my hair to get an even colour. My friends thought I permanently coloured, which means that they were not able to notice a difference between regular hair dye and LOREAL Colorista Spray. I didn't wash my hair for 2 days following so the colour stayed for 3 days and faded a little bit more each day. It is important to understand that the darker your natural hair, the less intense the colour spray will be. I have very light blonde hair so the colour turned out to be quite vibrant. Whereas, for someone with darker hair, the spray may be less noticeable on the hair. One downfall is that it made the texture of my hair feel much drier than normal and it did not allow my curls to hold as well. Make sure to spray after you have finished styling your hair!! Overall, this is a great product that does exactly what it claims to do. I have already recommended this product to my friends!

    WORKS on dark hair

Great way to have some fun with your hair without any commitment. It actually works on black/dark brown hair. Comes in a variety of colour - silver, pink, dark and electric blue, green - so much fun. The only drawback is that it's a spray can so it is challenging to be precise on colour placement. Try taking a section of hair you want to colour, cover the rest of your hair with an old rag, to create a highlighting affect..LOVE IT!

    Fun hair colour

This comes in lots of different colours, blue, different shades of pink, silver. I like the gold one. You just spray it in and it's dry in minutes. It's a small can, 57g, so it can be a bit expensive but I find if you shop around you might hit a deal. It washes out with shampoo. I've used up one can, next time I might try the blue.

    Halloween Quality

No, no, no. It's exactly like cheap Halloween hair spray. It transfers all over: run your fingers through your hair and they're all purple. It makes the hair stiff and hard to comb through. Messy in the bathroom when it washes out. I had to use more to show colour on my brunette hair, but it did show up dark purple. Adding hairspray on top to lock it in made the colour go away. Never noticed how much I touch my hair in an hour, but with one big swoop/streak of purple I kept getting it on my hands. And it's a bit of work to wash it off the hands. Not worth it, but I'm still interested in trying out L'Oreals semi-permanent hair colours. Don't let kids/teens use this spray b/c they will get it all over themselves and your house and fabrics.

Colorista Spray is a waste of money - DO NOT BUY THIS!

I used the L'Oreal Paris Colorista Pink Spray on my hair for one day. I read the instructions on the side before use which advised to put a towel around your neck (which I did), to shake well before use (which I did), and to spray the hair dye spray 10 cm to 15 cm away from your hair (which I tried to do). The spray came out of the bottle at such a high spray that it basically blew my hair around and made it difficult to aim the dye at specific areas of my hair. I eventually had to aim the spray from a high angle so that my hair would stop blowing around. I found the spray came out very uneven and I would have to respray areas. Eventually I got the half section of my hair that I wanted done complete and I started to wait for it to dry.
As it was drying, I cleaned up any dye that had gotten on my skin or on any areas around me. During this time, the dye was very easy to clean up. It only took a bit of soap and water to remove. After 20 minutes, I touched my hair and the dye was still coming off, so I gave it another 20 minutes. Again the dye was still coming off - my forehead were my hair was touching kept getting more dye on it as I walked around and I would have to clean it off over and over again.
I tried to put a comb through my hair afterwards and it wouldn't comb through as the spray caused my hair to stick together almost like a hair spray. I used a brush and it sort of went through but barely. My comb and brush was covered in pink dye afterwards and I tried to clean them afterwards. The dye was still in them afterwards.
Eventually my family came over and I had to stop worrying about it. As I sat talking with my family, I blew my nose and on the tissue was a ton of the pink dye. I passed it off as the dye being on my hand again and I just hadn't noticed. Later in the evening though, I blew my nose again and more pink was on the tissue. At this point, I knew the dye was coming from inside my nose. I had inhaled some of the pink dye during the application process. I was mortified by this.
Meanwhile, the dye was still coming off onto my hands, my clothes etc. I had to sleep with a towel on my pillow and that was after I took a moment to try and remove some of the dye from my hair. It was still coming off. I looked at the bathroom after my family left and I now found spots of pink dye that wasn't there before and while some spots came out with soap and water, others did not. I am still cleaning out pink dye from my hair brushes a week later.
The next morning I washed the hair dye spray out but even after shampooing my hair twice, I could still feel the spray in my hair somewhat. It just felt sticky and straw like. I continued to find pink spots on my bathrobe and when I did laundry, the towel I put around my shoulders still had pink dye on it after I wash it.
Overall, this is a terrible product. Any product that you are blowing out of nose a day later shouldn't be on the market. It is not useful as a temporary dye. It would rather use those gel dyes that you put into your hair for Halloween for temporary dyes for events or whatever. If you really want to put a fun colour into your hair, then use the temporary colorista dyes that come out of the bottles. DO NOT USE THIS SPRAY!!!
