SMELLS LIKE BANANAS!! FEELS LIKE BUTTER!!!! MMMMMM....

I have very long, thick, somewhat wavy hair, down to the waist. I like to wear it like the 70's actresses, with lots of volume and va-va-voom. So I blow dry, flat iron, a bit of spray and backcombing. And, I do dye my hair, yes. So it takes a lot of abuse. I went to a salon and asked what deep conditioner would be good for me, and they recommended that. At first, I thought yeah right...probably the same as drugstore stuff, only named slightly differently and stuck on these salon shelves for triple and quadruple the price. But, I must say I was pleasantly wrong. This stuff is great! Not greasy at all. But makes my hair super soft and shiny and manageable. The flat iron just slips through like magic. And I get compliments on my hair every day, so it must be doing something good! This is truly beautiful stuff.

I Love this stuff! Im so happy I dont have to buy Kerastase anymore, it works just as good-maybe better! I wish I knew about this a long time ago. I like the smell of this better as well, and if it saves me a lot more money than Im all for this product! L'Oreal made Kerastase, so it makes perfect sense. Highly reccomended!

I was given an opportunity to review the L'Oreal Professional Intense Repair Shampoo and the Intense Repair Masque...these are my thoughts on the Masque. Again, like the Intense Repair Shampoo, the smell is lovley. Although I didn't find the Masque to live up to its reputation in term of how my hair felt and looked after use. My hair actually felt more dry and this unfortunately didn't improve with regular use. I would not recommend this product, it simply did not work for my hair at all. The price is also shockingly high. At this price point I expect much more. I have used drugstore products from L'Oreal which have performed far superior to this "salon" product.

The first thing I noticed about the conditioner was the smell it smelled like I had been transported to a tropical island, I could hardly wait to try it out.
When I finally go the chance to use this product I was disapointed , I didn't need much product to make my hair feel like silk even It left my hair soft and manageble my husband loved how touchable soft it was and smelled great .

This product did seem a little higher in price then I would normally pay but its effectiveness made up for it and I would buy this conditioner again

I received the L'Oreal professional intense repair masque from the product review club. I usually use a deep conditioner once a week for my thin straight shoulder length hair. My hair tends to get dry split ends, so it needs extra moisture. I usually wait to use my deep conditioner for a day that I'm not going anywhere, as the deep conditioners usually weigh my hair down and give me a bad hair day. The L'Oreal Masque not only left my hair soft and silky and moisturised, but also left my hair looking good too! It's concentrated so you don't need to use a lot, and has a nice light scent. It's more expensive that the product I've been using, but it seems worth it for something I don't use every day. I am going to continue using this product from now on and would definitely recommend it.

Firstly, thanks to Chick Advisor for sending me the products to try out and review. I was very excited to give these two products a try since my hair is in definite need of some care and recuperation. I decided to try the shampoo separately for a few days, then used it together with the hair masque to see if it makes a difference.

    HAIR PROFILE
I have long black layered straight hair. Years of using heat appliances and getting my hair coloured, has left the ends of my hair extremely brittle and dry. At the same time, I have a problem of oily roots so it's difficult to find the right shampoo and conditioner that leaves my hair moisturized but not oily.

While I was not a fan of the L'oreal Professionel Intense Repair Shampoo, I really liked the L'oreal Repair Masque for the following reasons.
    (1) It has a pleasant banana scent which is not overpowering.
    (2) It has a thick consistency. While you only get 200mL of the product, you don't need to use a lot to get your hair moisturized. It rinses off well. Unlike other conditioners I have used previously which felt heavy on my hair, my hair still feels clean and light after using it.
    (3) This masque was the perfect solution to my oily roots and dry, brittle ends. It moisturized my hair but did not leave it greasy. Unlike other conditioners that weigh down your hair, this masque still maintained hair volume.
    (4) The ends of my hair has a tendency to get wavy. Not only did this masque leave my hair soft and shiny, it left it more straight reducing the need for me to straighten my hair.

There are a couple of cons with this product. The application is a little time consuming since you need to towel-dry your hair first before applying the product and having to wait a few minutes before rinsing it out but I don't really mind taking the additional time to do that since the end result is well worth it. It is costly but this masque is not something I would resort to using on a daily basis - maybe once or twice a week would be enough. I would still consider purchasing it specially during the winter months when the cold weather really wreaks havoc on my hair.

I was excited to try out Loreal Professional Intense Repair Masque as I have fine, flyaway, dry winter hair.
Nice creamy consistency masque. Not much of a scent.
I have been using the masque daily like a regular conditioner, and it does not way down hair at all. The texture of my hair has changed for the better... smooth and soft.
Not fond of the container though. Don't like dipping fingers into tub. Water can get in too easily in the shower. Would like it to dispense differently.
Not fond of the price. Have to see how long it lasts!

I was really looking forward to trying L'Oreal Professionnel Intense Repair Masque because I don't usually purchase salon brand products. I was surprised the packaging was so small, I expected a larger container. I soon realized that you really don't require much product to get the results you want. I have shoulder length hair so I didn't need to use more than a loonie size amount. The scent is light and fresh and blends in well. It says on the instructions that you should use it on towel dried hair but I didn't bother with that step, I just squeezed out the excess moisture and then applied the masque. I also have fine hair so I didn't leave the product on for more than a minute, this way I found it didn't weigh my hair down. I'm pleased with the results of the masque, I felt it made my hair smoother and manageable. I wouldn't purchase this on a regular basis due to the cost but it would be worth the occasional splurge. Thanks ChickAdvisor!

The one thing that annoys me about this product is that you have to have towel dried hair and then rinse it off. That's too much work for me to step back into the shower. I would rather have a conditioner or something I can apply on after a shower. I did feel like my hair was smoother so it does work. Although I am not that crazy about the scent and I probably would never buy this product.

I received this product through the Product Review Club.

I wasn't too impressed. My long hair gets super dry and dull during the winter months and I was hoping this product would help. I liked the light scent and the texture-- I like a very thick consistency for a masque. It was easy to use and stayed on well without dripping. I followed the instructions and tried out the masque on several different occasions but felt like my hair was just okay. It didn't feel particularly nourished or soft or healthy looking once dry. I've used drugstore products at a fraction of the price that produce similar results. This just didn't cut it so I will continue to look for a more suitable hair masque to remedy my dry ends. I probably wouldn't recommend this product to my friends, however, it may be more effective on other hair types.

I had never in my life used a Masque on my hair, and to be honest, I was pretty much suspicious of just how worth it, following the instructions to towel-dry my hair inbetween shampooing and conditioning, would be. Well. Have I been told.

Let me now declare that L'Oreal Professionnel Intense Repair Masque has not only relieved me of my vir-Masque-ginity, but it has opened up a whole new world of possibilities, in terms of how moisturized, softened and manageable my hair can be!!

I'll admit that it takes a lot for me to fork over $34.00 for any hair product that washes out. But I can see myself making an exception for this Repair Masque. My hair was always "good", in that it pretty much does what I ask it to, on any given day. But it has NEVER felt this soft, this bouncy, this touchable - and that was even without using a hairdryer, to seal in the effects!

The scent is lovely - light, tropical, and understated, The texture is creamy, easy to work with, and a little goes a long way - I've used it sparingly with my long hair, and I'm sure I have multiple treatments left in the jar! I might not use this after every shampoo - in fact, I'm certain I won't (I'm too cheap) - but I'll WANT to, and that says a lot. This Repair Masque definitely lives up to its promises, and together with the Intense Repair Shampoo, delivers a boost of moisture and softness that my hair hasn't experienced in a very, very long time.

    A pleasantly-surprised and very impressed thumbs-up!
