I purchased the Ocean Salt Facial and Body Scrub almost on a whim. I read rave reviews, and I have seen the benefits of ocean salt on the skin first hand. As expected, this scrub is worth its weight in gold-- er, salt. I used it as a body scrub, and my skin instantly became smooth. Moreover, it stayed that way for the next couple of days.

I also used it as a scrub on my dry feet and elbows to eliminate dry or hard skin. On the face, one has to be careful not to overdo it. This scrub is a bit more harsh than the typical drugstore exfoliator. People with sensitive skin should scrub gently, and not use it more than once a week. Also, a slight warning: this scrub may purge acne to the surface. The first few times I used the scrub, I got pimples the next day. Fortunately, they were small, the kind that disappears within a day or two. I figured that the scrub takes off the layers of the skin and pushes out pimples that were in the process of formation. That is why they were smaller than usual. This is just something one should consider when purchasing this product. After using the scrub regularly, the acne stopped, and my face has continued to remain smooth and free of blemishes.

There is a reason why this is one of Lush's best sellers. This stuff is amazing. It's a face and body scrub which leaves your skin feeling tingly and refreshed. I've used it on my face, body and feet. I have dry/combination skin and I love how smooth my face feels after I use it. I use it once a week on my face and everytime I give myself a pedicure. The smell is citrusy and you can see the sea salt right on it. Do be careful when scrubbing your face, it can be a little harsh. I find my face also looks more uniform after I use the scrub. It is a little pricy but a little goes a long way.

I have extremely flakey dry skin in the winter and this is saving me!

This product is really worth every penny. I consider it a bit pricey, but with the amount of product in it, it will last me awhile. It really takes the dead skin off my face and body . You can see and feel the difference in your skin with the first time you use it. My face has discoloration and ever since I used this you can see my skin tone evening up. Overall I really recommend you get this!!!

Two days ago I walked into Lush and a lady who worked there did a demo for this product. I was pretty surprised how well this product worked. After washing off the substance my hands felt incredibly smooth. If there is anyone out there that is looking for a good exfoliator for hands & body I would definately recommend this product to you. Two thumbs up Lush!

I love this product! It is one of the best exfoliators. The smell is amazing and it's very easy to use. For more sensitive skin users, you can mix it with Lush's Ultra Bland facial cleanser which is like a... lard? fat? That sounds gross but it's like a buttery thick oil that will add more softness but still exfoliate greatly.

This product is amazing! I would say NOT FOR SENSATIVE skin though!!! The ocean salt in this scrubs away everything...adn leaves your skin feeling nice and tingly!!! Just be careful you don't have any cut on your hands...this stuff is strong and will STING big time!!!!!

I first got this as a sample, and it is an absolutely fantastic product. It smells great (reminds me of citrus, particularly lime), exfoliates, and leaves my skin feeling tingly and clean.

When I first bought my own tub of Ocean Salt, I noticed the blue-with-white-speckles layer on top. This is the coarser grains of salt in the formula, and underneath (making up the majority of the exfoliator) is the finer-grained white component of the formula. When it's all mixed together, Ocean Salt is a fairly smooth turquoise mixture.

As with any other exfoliator, you don't need to use it everyday: only a few times a week does it for me. I love how well it works, but I think the price could be a bit lower. However, it does last me a very long time, and I highly recommend this product.

This is the only cleanser I put on my face. I have tried many different types of cleanser from a variety of brands and price range. I have okay skin to begin with, but often gets these little bumps on my forehead and on my nose. Cleanser usually work when I first try them and then they don't seem to be as effective. I have been using this for more than a year now and it's still awesome!! The fine salt exfoliates your skin. Once the salt melts, you just wash it off - leaving the skin tight and smooth!! Highly recommended!!!

First look, this product seems a bit scary to wash your face with, because on the top layer you can see loads and loads of see salt. But 1) You should stir it a bit so the effects are not better at the beginning of use and faint at the bottom of the bottle. 2) It actually feels good when scrubbed on the face!
You can actually feel your dead skin and oil being scrubbed off, and the smell, if you are into the whole sun and sand smell, is awesome.
After washing, my skin was noticeably softer and surprisingly whiter! A little goes a long way, so the little sample I got lasted me about 2 weeks when I used it every other day.
It's a great exfoliator, and if you mix a bit of it with water it's soothing even for the most sensitive skin.
