I got to try one of these lip colours courtesy of the brand. I've tried other long wear lip colours (the ones that are like markers) and I find that they dry out far too quickly, you only get a couple uses. I really really like that this is a liquid because it lasts as long as a regular lip gloss does.

So because it is a liquid, when you first apply it, it comes off glossy and then it dries. The other side of the applicator is a really smooth applying balm/gloss (not sure exactly how to describe it) but it gives a really nice shine. It definitely didn't last 24 hours, but it did last significantly longer than a regular lipstick considering I was eating and drinking (full colour was still there for probably 6ish hours).

I've worn this several times and it's been great. The colour options are excellent too. If you have very dry lips, I definitely do not recommend this. One day I wore this my lips were chapped and it showed bigtime! It clumped up and got all flaky. So as long as you steer clear on chapped days, you will probably like this too.

I've tried many long-lasting lip colours before, and I'll say that Maybelline is right on par with the more expensive department store brands. Although the colour didn't last a full 24 hours, it certainly lasted a solid 5 or 6 - which is pretty darn fantastic in my books. Unlike its pricier counterparts, this lip colour smells great (Cabernet smelled of grape juice-yum!). Remember to exfoliate your lips before you use this product because if you apply the colour on dry/chapped lips, the outcome is flakey lipstick that feels like grain on your pout. Also, reapplication of the lip balm is key as long wearing lip colours tend to over dry lips. All in all, if you're heading out for an evening, I would definitely recommend this product! I'd rather be on the dance floor than in the washroom reapplying my lipstick any day!

I used my roommate's once when going out. I brought it with me to the club but never had to re-apply it! The next day I went to get my own; all the colours were so vibrant and nice that it took me forever to choose! I finally decided on "Flame" red. I absolutely love it! The colour itself is a little dry, but as soon as you put on the conditioning lip gloss it feels great and lasts all night! <3 <3 <3

I had a coupon for one of these and had tried a similar product by cover girl so I wanted to compare the two. the coupon i had was part of a set were if you use all of them u recieve a free gift so although i did want to compare to the CG one i'd tried i probably would not have bought otherwise.

Okay what I liked:
i liked the colour choices and that the conditioning balm and liquid colour came together in one stick (the CG version I tried the 2 came seperate). I also liked that it had a fruity smell to it.

However...I did not like how it felt when on and it did not last anywhere near the 16 hours it claims to last.

So for the price and the fact that I'm not a big lipcolour wearer I don't think I would buy it again and don't think I would recommend it either.

I wasn't a very big fan of Maybelline's Superstay Lipcolour when I tried it. The colours are very vibrant and look great on, but that's pretty much the only good thing about it. I found the gloss to be far too sticky, it was a bit uncomfortable. Also, it doesn't really have the lasting power that it claims. If you plan or eating or drinking anything with it on, it may last about an hour or so.

I actually finished this product every time I got it. I used to also smuther it a bit with my finger for the stained berry look ar just wear it as you should. I liked it, and unlike other permanent lipsticks it didn`t dry out my lips, it lasts long yet comes off easily.
Worth it, I would say.

I got this item free after rebate from a local drug store. The color lasted longer than most I've tried. I'm very happy with it.

I really like the shades offered ..they ve shades for everyone!! i keep trying anything new which comes up,and of course also have my favs:)

I love this product!! I use #762 I think.

You have to put it on BEFORE anything else. The first time I used it I had some leftover chapstick on my lips and it didn't work well with that, but if you put it on dry/clean bare lips it stays perfectly. After a few days of repeated use my lips got a bit chapped so I use chapstick at night before bed and that clears it all up.

I recommend topping it off with the Maybelline Superstay Gold Balm (let initial stain dry for 2 mins before applying)
