The colours i tried were Cinnamon Stick, Coral Crush, Pink Peony and Hooked on Pink and my favourite out of all of them would have to be Cinnamon Stick.
The colours were very bright and lively, they made my lips look more plump and they have a light scent to them as well.
I would probably buy them again as well because the colours last long on you're lips.

To tell you the truth I am more of a lip-gloss sort of gal with most of the drama usually centered around my eyes. Most likely because I have spider-eyelashes, but that's another story - best left for another day.

I tried four lipsticks from the Maybelline's color sensational family: Get Nutty; Coral Crush; Caramel Kiss; and Nearly There.

I found all four had smooth texture upon application.I also thought it felt softer against one's lips than traditional lipsticks. This was a huge bonus, because from previous experience with other lipsticks I struggled with their tendency to dry-up. However, that being said, I was still unable to go a full day without re-application with color sensational. I had to do touch-ups every two hours or so.

My mother is a lip-stick connoisseur, so I am actually going to give her some of the more dramatic colors that I think, I myself would not wear again (except for the purpose of this review), such as coral crush. It does not compliment my everyday look - usually I am much happier to stick to more subtle shades such as Nearly There, which contain a slight hint of sparkle. I am pretty excited what she will have to say about them since she loves lipsticks and dramatic colours, which she can pull off without looking like a clown on everyday basis.

Overall, I think this product offers the consumer much choice, which is always nice when you are out on a hunt for that perfect shade. I also cannot but help to notice the beautiful brown packaging, which looks very sophisticated. It may be worth your while to pick this up next time you are at your local drugstore.

I REALLY liked this new lipsticks collection. The colors are amazing (great choice too), the texture is very creamy (which I love), they taste good (neutral)... The lasting effect is what you would expect from a moisturising lipstick, which is only a few hours though (sometimes you have to compromise !!) These lipsticks are quickly become my favorites (almost as much as the Color-Design from Lancôme or the ones from Napoleon Perdis). They are a tiny bit more expensive than other Maybelline lipsticks, but well worth it in my opinion.

    THE REAL SCOOP

Maybelline's latest lipcolor offering is a winner! A mass-market offering (available at Shoppers, Pharma Plus and other drug stores nation-wide), at the $10 price point it is an excellent alternative to Lancome's Color Fever lipsticks. The lipsticks are extremely chic, with a metal tube encased in clear lucite that match the colour family of the lipstick: red cap for the red family, purple cap for the plum familiy, amber cap for the neutral family and fuschia cap for the pink family.

In terms of texture, the ColorSensational Lipcolor is a relatively moisturizing lipstick. The creaminess (which I assume can be attributed to the honey nectar) feels wonderful in application, and the colour lasts quite a bit longer than your average gel-based moisturizing lipstick.

For this review, I tried out 4 different shades:

Summer Sunset (#615, red family): Beautiful brick red with just the tiniest bit of shimmer that defines the lips without screaming "red", I find it perfect for work or for functions when you just want to look polished and sophisticated (throw on a string of pearls for good measure!). The colour is long-lasting and does not flake or fade into a weird pink colour like some other red lipsticks I own.

Caramel Kiss (#225, neutral family): A sheer caramel wash of colour that is basically "my own lips but better" colour. It's very sheer and subtle pinkish-brown, suitable for low-key occasions where you don't want to look made up. I tend to think that this would be a universally flattering shade.

Cinnamon Stick (#325, neutral family): Bronze-y neutral colour, with a golden sheen that makes it look dimensional. This has an autumn feel for me, and would go well with gold/brown eye makeup or earth tones.

Pink Please (#025, pink family): So pretty! This is a great baby pink colour in a "matte" delivery (ie no shimmer unlike the above colours), but isn't chalky or flakey like some matte lipsticks tend to be. It gives a nice glossy finish, similar to a MAC lustre lipstick however I do find it more drying than the other shades listed above.

Bottom line: Maybelline's ColorSensational lipcolour is a quality product. Although on the pricier side of drugstore lipsticks ($10 CAD), it is well worth the extra couple of bucks, especially when comparing to similar department store offerings at $30 CAD. There is faint waxy/vanilla-y smell to the lipstick, but it didn't bother me. Bonus points for lasting power in a creamy, moisturizing texture (although touch-ups are still required every few hours). I liked the texture, colour consistency, pigmentation and lasting power and find them comparable to MAC lipsticks, which is a big plus. When this haul runs out, I would definitely buy this product again.

These colours made me feel great! Very flattering, my favourite being Bit of Berry. I had a feeling it would be a good shade for me and I wasn't disapointed. Try them for yourself.

One of the best lipsticks I have ever tried! I am so pleased about it! I was one of the very lucky fifteen chosen to test these lipsticks and I am so in love with them! Before these lipsticks I would only wear Mac lipsticks, but these are of equal quality! Great pigment, nice smell, and very conditioning. I will be buying more for sure! My favourite lipstick out of the four is bit of berry.

I got a PR sample through ChickAdvisor in Madison Mauve and it's the perfect fun fall colour. The colour is a deep plum with a hint of sparkles. I do wear it too often because it can be intense for the day, but when i do wear it, it does give me that oomph. I love how this doesn't dry out my lips. Working with darker colours, it's important that it doesn't dry my lips because the flakes really show and it's really hard to reapply properly. The staying power is pretty good. You do need to reapply after you eat/drink but it does leave a stain that still looks good without reapply.

The great thing about this line is that the price is affordable so i can go out there and try out colours that i don't normally wear. The formula is hydrating and the colour payoff is great. I'm planning to get some more colours and try it out myself.

I just received four shades of this lipstick from the review club (thanks chick advisor!) and I am really excited about them.
    The shades I got are:
    - totally toffee
    - plaza pink
    - born with it
    - sweet nectar
First off, they smell great! As most women can probably relate to, I hate the smell of most lipsticks. These have a slightly sweet smell (slightly vanilla-ish) without that chemical like plastic smell many other lipsticks have. They apply like a dream. The texture is smooth and they glide on like a lip balm. They are not even the slightest bit sticky or thick feeling. The colour is buildable allowing you to go for a more sheer look to a full colour.

Out of the four I received I would say that the "plaza pink" (a pink shade) is my favourite, while "born with it" is very close to one of my current favourites (from a different brand) that has been discontinued.
I am very happy with these lipsticks and will definitely be telling friends about them and will buy them in the future!

I am usually NOT a fan of lipsticks, no matter how many I've tried.

I tend to be more of a lip gloss or lip balm girl, but this has turned me into a believer!

    5 reasons why:

    1. It smells really, really good

First thing I noticed, was when I opened the gorgeous packaging, that it smelled AWESOME. Like coconut mixed with.. vanilla. Definitely a step up from other plasticky smelling lipsticks.

    2. The colour goes on fabulously

It makes me think it IS a lip balm, it is that moisturizing.

    3. It stays put and pretty

I have a tendency to rub my lips together a lot, and the colour hasn't faded an ounce.

However I guess if you eat it, then you have to re-apply it again. But generally speaking? No problems here.

    4. It doesn't wipe off easily

I put on the super red one, and it didn't wipe off easily. Which I like. It turned it into a psuedo-lip stain so it doesn't look strange as if you have half coloured lips and the other half totally nude.

    5. The range of colours is FABULOUS

I am drooling over the 48 colours they have! I fall more into the Pinks or Neutrals range, but there is literally a shade for everyone.

I think Pink of Me or Pink Quartz are my favourites at the moment.

Head into the nearest drug store and experiment, because these are incredible.

This line of lipstick is fabulous! Color stays put, moisturizes lips and really has gorgeous packaging as well. The range of colors available is wonderful, so that most anyone could find something to suit them. I have 3 shades & they all work wonderfully. My favorite is Caramel Kiss. These are so smooth and silky & moisturize so well without rubbing right off like a lot of other lipsticks that help moisturize.
