not the best

after hearing all the hype of this foundation, i was so excited to try it out on myself however, i didnt like the feel of it on my skin, it got cakey after it oxidised, it also went too dark and yellow after oxidisation

I bought this expecting to love it because I'm in the market for a cheaper foundation. I used it once and it was way to dry, and it flaked right off. I went through my routine as I usually do so I didn't change anything that way. I noticed that the coverage was horrible as well. Meanwhile I'm still in the market for another foundation!

I really wanted to like this! It was raved about on YouTube and everyone seemed to love it so I bought it and the first day I used it I liked it for about 15minutes and then it started falling off my face? My skin is normal to dry and it really enhanced my dry spots and make me skin super itchy while it was falling off my face. It works great for my sister who has oily skin so I think if you have any dryness it's not the right product for you!

Its average bb cream type foundation but it doesnt stay on an the stuff transfers on clothes and other people if you hug someone else. I like the formula that its velvet but it doesnt stay on and its yellow and blotchy. Also over priced.

I'm on the fence with this foundation. I don't hate it, but I'm not in love with it either. I've been trying it with different primers, with and without powders. When I put it on for the first few hours my face looks great, but it's also has minimal coverage, which is fine with me as I don't have that much that I'm trying to hide. The texture is something I've never used before, it's a thick mouse but I don't find it has a lot of coverage but I have slightly oily skin and by noon, I'm a bit of an oily mess, more than usual. Primers don't seem to make a difference, if I don't powder my face then it's a huge oil mess and I feel gross by mid afternoon, but if I do slightly try to set my face with powder, you can see it (I don't normally set my face with powder, so this could be user error and not the foundation). So in the end I'll use it on days I don't have anything special or doing anything major just to use it up, but I won't be repurchasing it.

I am using Maybelline New York Dream Velvet Foundation right now. OverallI like it especially when i apply it in the beginning my face is shining and glowy but after sometime of application (2 to 3 hours) it starts to oxidize and the colour is no longer the same. I am not sure if i will buy it again.

I wasn't overly impressed with this foundation - the texture is nice and feels very smooth, however, the mouse-like consistency seemed to grab onto all my dry patches and make them more noticeable and obvious. I am also a big fan of high-coverage foundations and this just didn't seem to cover enough for me and it was also non-buildable because of the texture.
I also felt that the colour did not work for me either, it had an orange tone to it when put on my skin and I grabbed the lightest shade they had.
The price was great though - I would recommend it to somebody that doesn't have dry patches and is looking for minimal coverage, it just wasn't a product for me.

I have many friends who loves this item but for myself, I didn't like it. The price was alright however I have lots of freckles that I love to cover up. I am a pretty pale person as well. I felt like I couldn't get the right skin tone for me and coverage was pretty poor. I felt like I was smearing everything everywhere as well. I have definitely used a better drugstore foundation than this in the past. Others love it though, maybe it just wasn't for me!

Hardly any colors... most of them have a pink undertone which did not match my color at all!!!
The texture is very thick, which made my face look "cakey" and did not seem natural at all. Looked like I have tons of product on my face.

I'm usually a Maybelline girl ! I love all their products but this missed the mark ! I received this free through Chickadvisor review club and have tested this product hoping that one day it will look nice . Maybe my oily skin just didn't work with this foundation but I was always a gross mess by the end of the day :(
