Received this free from ChickAdvisor and to be honest, I didn't really like this foundation very much. For me, it seemed very heavy and it was easy to tell that I was wearing makeup. Perhaps the colour match wasn't too great and that was the reason for it.
I'm used to lightweight foundations that are light-medium coverage so this was too heavy for me, and I felt it make my acne bumps more visible. Even with the beauty blender, it didn't look very natural on my skin.

This is honestly the best foundation ive ever tried. It was so great, made my skin feel fresh and soft. I talked to so many of my friends about it and told them how much I loved it!! I recommend this to everyone with dry skin!!

I have received this product free as part of the campaign and was very excited in trying and experiencing the new foundation. I tried it for couple of days and I like how you would just have to apply a tiny part to get the full coverage. It is very hydrating but however I felt my skin felt a little oily after few hours. It is not bad to try but i still prefer my Alway foundation over this

Never use foundation but I received a sample of this product, used it it was dryed like cakey on my skin not to sure why this happened

Thank you chickadvisor for choosing me to try Maybelline New York Dream Velvet Foundation!! I was super excited when I received my email saying I would be getting the foundation and make up brush. After a little bit of a wait I got it!!

Now I will just start with one thing, I got classic ivory shade which unfortunately is too pink toned for me :( But I still gave it a go... I noticed the foundation didn't feel heavy like I expected, yet it still had great coverage. I wasn't leaving the house that day, so I left it on to see how it stood the test of time. Normally my foundation will run into the creases of my face (why I use mineral powder) and to my surprise this foundation held up very well. My skin still got oily, as it does throughout the day, but the Maybelline New York Dream Velvet Foundation held strong and natural looking.

I am quite impressed with this foundation, as I tend to have bad luck with most foundations.. And I am a little upset I am not able to use the rest of it up for myself, but my friend was happy that it fit her!! Who knows maybe she will be on here to write a review soon!!

First of all, THANK YOU Chick Advisor for this great opportunity to review the Maybelline Dream Velvet foundation, it was my pleasure.
Secondly, I have a video that shows how I used the foundation, twice.
First time, I wasn't impressed with the finished look, it looked very thick and caked, I thought this might be because I applied CC cream before foundation, since the texture is sort of like mousse, it made sense. I then applied it the next day, without the CC cream and it didn't look too thick, but I was not pleased with the coverage.
I use CC cream under my regular liquid foundation because I feel that it gives me a base color, where the foundation doesn't correct and the finish always looks neat. With the mousse like foundation and CC cream it was too thick, the coverage was light to medium, and within few hours my make up had faded. I use Smashbox photo ready primer oil and Gosh 2in1 primer and finishing powder, and yet the foundation didn't stay long. To add to this, the CC cream usually fills in the fine lines I have as where the mouse like foundation doesn't look smoothed it looks patchy.
I also feel like i couldn't contour much with powder because it just wouldn't stick either.
I appreciate the opportunity and I might use it as back up or touch up foundation, but not to actually use on the daily.

When I first purchased this I liked it . After wearing it a couple more times I noticed it was drying out my skin. It didn't last long, faded and left matches on my face. I guess my face it too dry for it.

I recieved this as part of the product review club, and I'm in love! I have combination skin, with an oily t zone and dry cheeks. This foundation not only gave great coverage over my acne scars and uneven skin pigmentation, but also did not flake on the drier areas of my skin like other foundations!

I really like this! It is so smooth and matte, and stays that way! It doesn't dry my skin out at all, and didn't cause any sort of break-out like most make up does to me. I primarily use Maybelline makeup, but this stood out to me at superior quality! Not too heavy, not too light.

This product definitely deserves its name. Your skin is velvet smooth after using, also it is weightless so your face doesn't feel heavy with makeup! I am very happy with this product it is a 10/10 compared to my last foundation as far as coverage. I will definitely be buying this again and have recommended it to everyone I know!
