This is a soft, velvety mousse texture with a creamy whipped consistency that blends flawlessly and smoothly into skin leaving behind even, soft perfected coverage.This has a very cool feel on skin with a lightly moisturizing finish that does in fact provide a matte but never flat or dull finish on skin. I was worried it would adhere to drier, flakier areas on my face but it did not. What it did do was provide smooth, flawless coverage that was easy to build, easy to wear, and incredibly lightweight. It wore for me a solid seven hours without fading and without setting with powder. It just looked so beautifully natural on my skin and brightened up my entire complexion.

This is a medium/ full coverage foundation. Its price its typical drugstore so can't complain about it. Unfortunately I did find this foundation drying. I have oily t-zone but the rest of my face is normal, so normally I don't see that problem with more liquid foundations. If you have oily skin then this might be good for you.

Le seul hic que j'ai constaté, c'est que n'étant une très grande consommatrice de fond de teint j'ai eu quelques difficultés lors de l'application autant avec mes doigts qu'avec la petite houpette. J'ai aussi remarqué qu'après quelques temps je sentais une certaine lourdeur dans mon visage.mest-ce le produit ou le fait que je ne suis pas habitué au fond de teint ??? Je ne le sais pas.

Maybelline Dream Velvet foundation is a great lightweight foundation. It provides sheer coverage...not cakey . Used in conjunction with the Maybelline Dream blender sponge, my face had a nice natural even tone.
Be sure to wet the sponge first to get even light coverage.

I tried this foundation as part of the Product Review Club and I have to admit from the outset, I picked the wrong color. It was darker than usual colour so for everyday wear, i had to blend it with my other foundation to get a better colour match. For the purposed of testing though, I did try it by itself and I am impressed. Its goes in incredibly smoothly, the finish is fantastic and the coverage lasted all day. There was no chemical smell that some foundations have, very light fragrance. Well worth the money I would say.

I was completely excited to receive maybelline New York dream velvet foundation to test out complimentary of chick advisor. It is a dreamy foundation, but isn't compatible to my winter skin as I quickly found out. For some reason, it made my skin a tad flakey, but that could be a different story in the summer, when my skin is radiant! It goes on very easily and little blending is required. Overall it's a great product!

I recieved this product to try out free thanks to Chickadvisor! When I originally opened the package I was not impressed with how small the bottle of foundation was.. but as I used the product I also realized a little goes along way! It goes on nice and smooth and spreads very easily with out streaks! Depending on how much you use it can give you a light coverage or a heavier coverage in those problem areas

I received this foundation threw Chick Adviser for review purposes, I was quit excited when I got the email as this has been my first EVER Chick Adviser review program since joining!
Firstly the packaging that it came in was soo cute that I will be keeping it! The packaging for the foundation itself is very cute, typical of Maybelline packaging for there "Dream" collection, with the brown/tan tube, Font/Labeling.
Researching the price in Canada for the Dream Velvet Foundation it is pretty expensive for being "drugstore"
as it is in the range of 15-17$ at local Shoppers Drug mart OR Walmart which would make it much cheaper! Also Mentioning the shade range, it isn't that bad with selection, but its either your shade or not, many are stuck in between shades like I am. The foundation I was sent (which I picked out upon apply) was wayyy to dark, (95 Caramel) I myself am tan/dark so I figured it would work because the shade 75 is wayy to light! (which I purchased myself before applying) So Im left with mixing the 2 foundations together to get "my" shade.
Personally I do think the foundation is worth the price! I really like the consistency of the foundation as it feels thick but once on the face it literally feels like your moving water around your face! so with that said, it feels pretty light on the face and the coverage is just beautiful! and it does have a good amount of wear time! The foundation colour i received matched my fair skin tone perfectly. it provided matte flawless coverage that was too heavy for an every day look. The foundation went on easily without caking.

I actually liked this foundation, although it was a bit thicker than some other kinds I have used. The thickness actually gives a better coverage in some areas. The only thing I would say is that I received the Classic Ivory, which is the colour I would normally get in any brand, I found it was a bit darker than the others. I think a lighter shade might work, but I ended up using my own make up sponge and it blended in a bit better. Overall this is a good foundation and I would recommend it for anyone really just make sure you get the proper shade and use a good sponge.
