Let me begin with full disclosure that I have pretty decent eyelashes to begin with. They are slightly above average in length and fullness and they hold curl well. I think the people that will always have the toughest time with any mascara are those with sparse or shorter lashes or ones that won't hold a curl.

I took a picture to show how it looks on my eyes and have broken my experience into pros and cons.

Pros:
* Grip & Extend brush creates beautiful separation with no clumping
* The Lengthening formula with Pro-Vitamin B5 makes lashes nice and long while providing conditioning and strength to help make them healthier
* Lashes feel soft and feathery
* It holds curl longer than many other mascaras I have tried
* If I compare one eye with this mascara and one with no mascara the difference is quite dramatic. Lashes are significantly longer and more defined
* Stylish, clever packaging in the shape of a stiletto heel
* Reasonably priced

Cons:
* The mascara does have a scent, though it doesn't bother me. Most mascaras have some sort of smell to them so this wouldn't affect me buying it.

Overall I found it to be a lovely lengthening mascara. If you have medium to full lashes you will probably love this. If you have sparser lashes you may prefer something with more volume building properties such as their Colossal mascara.

If you want separation and a natural look, this is the right mascara for you. I was really impressed with the separation that the mascara provided - absolutely clean!!! This is the first mascara that I didn't need a lash comb afterwards. However, the Stiletto doesn't create the added length that other products provide. But because of its clean application, you can coat your lashes multiple times for extra volume without looking like a drag queen. Great for daytime clean natural look, a little weak for a night time dramatic look.

so i have been using the new york lash stiletto mascara made by maybelline for the last few days now and all i have are good things to say about it.
This mascara is probably one of the best masacaras i have ever used. It goes on smoothly, NO CLUMPS what so ever and somehow manages to coat every lash!
I sometimes tend to have issues with certain mascaras as they make my eyelashes almost look like spider legs, and when i blink it gets everywhere, but this stuff is just right, it makes lashes look fuller and somewhat longer, but also makes them look very natural, i've even had some compliments.
I would definitely recommend this mascara to anyone who seems to experience the same issues that i do.
my eye lashes are already pretty thick and full,but since i'm a red head, they are very light, which is why i wear mascara.
so yes,
highly recomend it, it's a good price for good quality.

I was very excited to review the Maybelline Stiletto mascara and overall I would say it did not disappoint and I would recommend it.
The packaging was very sleek, stylish and had a higher end appearance, much better than some of their other mascara products ie. Great Lash etc. and Maybelline is known to have quite reasonable pricing.
While it did fulfill it's claims of lash lengthening, I wouldn't recommend it for a dramatic evening look or for anyone who likes bold, sexy lashes.
For those of you who prefer an 'au natural' look or for daywear I would definitely give this product a thumbs up!

This product actually made my lashes longer without having to curl them first. I like the fact that my lashes felt really soft while using this mascara. It washes off really easy. The only down fall was that it is not water proof, so ther fore I would not purchase it. If it does come out in waterproof this will be my new mascara of choice.

I was really excited to try this new mascara, especially since the packaging looks so sleek! However, I was a little disappointed that the effect wasn't as exciting as its packaging. While I don't recall any claims for "bolder" lashes or "100 times volume", what it does claim to do is lengthen lashes. I guess in a sense it does lengthen lashes as any product that coats your lashes would - it just makes your lashes stand out more. Nothing special. Nothing extraordinary. I would personally prefer mascaras that make your lashes look fuller.

For those who prefer a more natural look, you may want to try this product. What I like about it is that it's not clumpy, and looks barely-there. The flipside then is that, well, it's barely there! Not very dramatic, so might not be enough for an evening glam look. It's good for wearing to the office though. Mind you, I only apply one coat, so perhaps results would be different with a 2nd coat?

I haven't had any problems washing it off. Usually comes off clean with regular cleanser and water, unlike my previous mascara where I couldn't get away without first using eye makeup remover.

Overall, if you're looking for inexpensive day-wear mascara or something more natural, you should give this a try. If you're looking to be wowed, I'd suggest trying another product.

I was very excited to receive this as part of the product review club but I was quite disappointed in it. The price is fair and since it's Maybelline, it'll be easy to locate.
The packaging is cute and I like the name, and the red hint reminds me of my favorite stiletto heel designer, Christian Louboutin.

However, I don't think the product lives up to its name. It claims to have good lengthening abilities. I applied it as directed, and did not let the layers dry in between. I found by the time I was able to develop any length, my lashes were getting very clumpy. If I did not put on enough coats, the mascara was too natural looking for me and did not have a "wow" lenghtening factor.

It is easy to remove and I did not have problems with smudging. With the many options there are on the market, I would not buy this one personally.

I was pretty excited when i received this from the product review club. The stiletto shape is brilliant, so chic! As other girls have mentioned it looks very natural. Natural in a good way though, who doesn't want natural long feathery lashes? And with the help of my eyelash curler it gave an excellent curl with no smudging! Maybelline mascaras rock and this is one of my favs along with Great Lash and The Colossal. Worth a try for sure.

I was quite excited also to get this as part of the product review club. And I was thrilled that it was brownish black not just the usual dark black ("trying" to get away from that - hah). Unfortunately, it was not worth the anticipation. I wanted to be sure of my opinion, so I waited to try it a few times.

The packaging is cool, but there is a reason mascara generally comes in a round tube; ease of application is preferrable over the cool square factor. And lengthening it DID do, but it gave a look that was totally spidery. Looked pretty bad actually! Volume is a preferrable option for me as otherwise I need to wear my glasses at the end of my nose, and this length was not exactly worth that extra effort as it was spiky looking and not elegant. (And we do like elegant lashes.....)

It was sort of dry (in the mail too long maybe) and the brush is too long to have a point, but the colour is nice. Oh, and one little drop of water or sweat (like from dancing) and it was a smudgy mess. And yet, it did NOT wash off with soap and water as per the blurb on the back of the card (?).

Overall, it was dissappointing, and I cannot recommend it.

I got this product through the product review club. I really enjoyed it. It had that same rose scent that the Maybelline New York Colossal Volum' Express Mascara had, only lighter. Lots of people had complained of that smell, but I rather liked it :P I did find that it lengthened my eyelashes and separated them quite nicely compared to other pumping mascaras that lengthen but volumize. Because I have short eyelashes, the separating really added to the lengthening.

The packaging was quite nice and simple. and it really did look like a stiletto, how cute is that?!
