These have been a mainstay with my family for about as long as I can remember, usually just seeing one of these in the grocery store takes me back to childhood family dinners. And the cake is still as good now as it was then, although I think the icing layer has gotten a little less thick, lol. Moist cake and not too sweet icing, how can you go wrong.

This cake is pretty good for frozen cake. It isn't overly sweet. Easy in a pinch if some one comes over for Kaffee und Kuchen! (Coffee and cake!)
