Might not be the ideal cream for acne-prone skin

This is a cooling and super hydrating gel for dry skin, which I have in certain areas of face, but I overall have combination and acne-prone skin. I've tried this gel cream on my entire face and I noticed my skin shining more early on in the day. It's not a base that I need my skin to have prior to putting on makeup. This could be a great product for those with very dry skin, but it just isn't for me!

Meh

I wasn’t really wowd by this product like I thought I’d be. I do have combination skin and it seemed to help my dry spots although I don’t think I’d purchase the full sized tube. I have used other products that I found worked better for my skin. It is very light weight and the scent is nice. I recieved this product complimentary for reviewing purposes.

Not enough

I know everyones skin is different so please take my review with a grain of salt. I found that this cream was not very effective..Im not sure if it was because the sample was too small or the product itself. I tried to make the sample last two applications so i can give a better review having used it more than once. My skin did not look or feel hydrated and i was really tempted to apply my regular cream (i didnt). However i did like the gel texture and it did not feel greasy at all, i feel like this cream might be good for people who are on the more oily side which i am not.

Fresh feeling moisture serum

This product would be great in the summer when your face is dry and needs cooling moisture. I used this under my makeup as a primer and it kept my face fresh and hydrated all day. Feels like a serum.
I did not like the scent though.

Good Moisturizer but not Incredible

I found this gel too heavily scented, however I did enjoy the consistency and found it spread really easily. It left my skin feeling almost like a bit chalky to the touch which was interesting since I my skin was left a bit shiny looking. Since it was a thin gel, I didn't feel like I had a layer of moisturizer. Probably good long term effects because of the hyaluronic acid, but I wouldn't purchase this.

Hydro boost? Not so much.

I have mixed views about Neutrogena's Hydro Boost Gel Cream. I like how it feels as if I have nothing on my skin, but for me it isn't hydrating enough.

The product is a gel-cream that is a little milky looking. It absorbs quickly into the skin and spreads easily. It is oil-free, non-greasy, and dries matte. It's lightweight, and it didn't feel like I had anything on my face. I was expecting this product to provide more hydration, but for me it's only good for very light hydration that would be more suitable for summertime use. Unfortunately, I noticed my skin feeling a little dry and flaking a bit from using this product. There are other moisturizers that are more effective at the same price range.

Effective

This gel smelled sooo good . The sample was super small but I used it after I used the makeup wipe and it left my skin so soft and moisterized. Thinking of getting the full bottle

Great for acne prone skin

This is a good, simple moisturizer for those with sensitive skin. There are definitely more moisturizing options out there, but if you're one of those people who are afraid to moisturize since you feel it gives you acne, try this one. It's a gel moisturizer with barely any scent, that seems very optimal for sensitive skin. It hasn't made me break out like many moisturizers do. You need to use quite a bit of this product to get a moisturizing effect. It does take a bit of time to dry down properly, as it's tacky for a bit. It works nicely under makeup though. I really appreciate that it doesn't try to be anything more than a moisturizer, I prefer to customize my skincare routine based on individual concerns and buy "specialized" products for each concern, rather than buy a "one size fits all" product. You have to be careful with those types of products since they've got a lot of opportunity to irritate your skin. So I feel safe reaching for this, knowing that I'm just simply hydrating my skin and I don't need to worry about breakouts the next day. This winter has me leaning dryer than usual so I do feel like my skin is a little dry by the end of the day still. I don't think this will be a problem come the summer. Not for me actually dried out my skin

First impression was good it felt like it just melted into my skin little went a long way. But after just 2 days trying it my skin dried right up which is the opposite of what you expect from this line sample was small so couldn't carry on for long term but I don't think I wanted to fighting dry skin is a battle anything that makes it dry up I walk away from so unfortunately this was not for my skin. I received this free to try but all opinions are my own

Not really moisturizing...

I've received a sample of this product from Chick Advisor to test. I have a very dry and sensitive skin. This product does give you a refreshing and hydrating sensation right after it's applied, but this sensation won't last. It is, indeed, a nice product for sensitive skin, since it didn't give me a "burning" feeling, as I've felt with other moisturizers before. But I can't help but be a little disappointed with it. Being part of the Hydro Boost product line from Neutrogena, I was expecting it to be really moisturizing, with a long-lasting hydration. It seems like the product is absorbed so quickly by the skin that it's completely gone in just a few minutes! Unfortunately, I can't recommend it if you have a very dry skin. I would try it again, tough, if I were to travel to a tropical and humid place. It is very light-weight, so it should be suitable for those cases.
