Lightweight but not hydrating enough

I was sent the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream for review purposes. I have combination skin, oily around the t-zone and dry patches on my cheeks. I like how this gel cream is oil-free and non-comedogenic. It feels very light-weight and absorbs very quickly. However, I don't find it particularly hydrating as it hasn't done much for my dry patches. I think it could be a good moisturizer for hot summer weather but I don't see myself purchasing this product in the future.

Lots of nice things about this

I got this product free to try from Chick Advisor. Honestly when I pulled it out of the box I wasn't sure what to think. We got a very small trial size tube (7mL) and all the package said was 'Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream' - it didn't explain what the product was at all - so I kind of had to assume it was a moisturizer. I was doubtful that I would even have anything to say about this product because the sample size was so small, but it honestly lasted me way longer than I expected!

Depending on how much you use - this 7mL sample can last 2-3 weeks of once a day use.

Here is what I noticed while using it:

It doesn't really have any scent/fragrance/odor to it - and for me, this was actually a positive. Smell was the main reason why I did NOT like the other 2 products that came with this one. It goes on nicely - it isn't greasy, sinks in fast, and doesn't leave my skin shiny. Once it was on, I basically couldn't even feel it. It was not heavy (very light), didn't feel gritty and left my face feeling nice and smooth.

Honestly, I'm still not 100% sure what thus product is supposed to do, as I didn't notice that it did much after a few weeks of use. It moisturized, but not any better than other products I have used.

The cost for this product is $19.97/47mL, and the moisturizing gel cream that I have been using is $15.97/50mL - so the Neutrogena product is a little pricier than my normal brand, but not much in comparison to some of the other products (which were 5X more expensive at least).

I did like this product, and don't really have anything negative to say, other than that it's a bit pricy. Honestly though I think I prefer the brand I was already using. However, if you are looking for a new Gel cream moisturizer I do recommend trying this one - it has a lot of positives and very few negatives, and might just be perfect for you.

Skins right in

This gel cream worked wonders on my super dry skin. It sunk right in and kept my skin hydrated for hours. It also made my makeup look fresh upon application. The only thing that bothered me a bit was the fragrance. If it came scent-free or very lightly scented, that'd be a bonus. While it is a tad expensive, it does what it claims to do and I would buy it again once I run out. Very glad I #gotitfree to try...it's a new staple in my skincare routine!

Fabulous and light!

I really like this product. It was light and made my skin feel great! Super hydrating and smells fantastic. I'm not a regular user of gel cream products but will definitely add this item to my daily skin care routine.

take it or leave it

NEUTROGENA HYDRO BOOST GEL CREAM is something i could take or leave. I didnt find the product to leave a residue but it did make my skin feel oily like it was over hydrated . It was not something i would use but because i received it for free there was no harm in giving it a try

Very dry skin - love non-greasy feel

I took this to Boston in a carry-on in replacement of a normal serum. Loved it. Was not greasy or oily, and it made my skin feel hydrated. Also the scent is unreal - super lovely!!

Like it a lot.

I got opportunity to try this nutrogena hydro boost cream. Its a wonderful product its works great on my skin, no regrets. Its give me a whole day fresh looks, like a lot. Recommended to all friends and family.

Sooo hydrating

I have combination skin. Some spots are really dry and some get super oily. This moisturizer has changed this. I no longer have any dry skin and my skin doesn’t get oily like it did, now it will get a little shiny at most. And it feels sooo nice and fresh going on. I will definitely be purchasing this again and again!

Pros and cons

As a girl with oily skin type and acne, I was glad that it’s an oil-free and non-comedogenic product. But as other noticed, the smell is not really appealing. They could change that so we could appreciate it more.
