Not enough coverage

I received this product free from ChickAdvisor in exchange for my honest review.

Firstly, this product comes in a VERY small package (15 mL). I approximate that it will last me about two weeks of daily use. Unless this product is VERY inexpensive, I wouldn't be able to justify going through a bottle of primer every two weeks. The waste from the packaging alone would kill my conscience!

Secondly, I received a coupon for optimum points at Shoppers Drug Mart if I purchased $50 from this brand. My Shoppers Drug Mart does not carry this brand, nor does their online website (beautyboutiqu.ca). Seems strange that ChickAdvisor would send me a useless coupon and I am a bit disappointed. I'm also disappointed as I had wanted to price out the Perfecting Primer in order to include this detail in my review, but I have not yet been able to find this product for sale in stores.

**Update - the nudebynature Canadian website sells this product for $32. No way could I justify spending $64/month on primer! Good to know.

The product itself is silicone free and it smells like Froot Loops. I personally quite like the smell but don't like to put products that are overly fragranced on my face. The good news is this product doesn't irritate my skin. It spreads easily, almost too easily, the product is a bit on the thin side. I found that it moisturized well and left my skin soft but didn't really act like a primer for my maturing skin. My enlarged pores weren't smoothed at all and none of my shallow-newly-forming-wrinkles were disguised. This product is unfortunately way, way less effective than my current primer (which contains silicone).

I am not pleased to find that this company is Australian. This product is made in Australia and shipped to Canada. I feel like I can probably stick with my current primer (made in North America) and avoid a product that is shipped across the world. I'd rather support local.

Bottom line? I wouldn't purchase this product and I am glad that I got to try it out for free. It might be a good primer for a young woman with youthful skin (no enlarged pores, no wrinkles) but then...does she really need a primer at all? Hmm.

Un très beau produit, mais qui n'est pas pour ma peau!

J'étais vraiment emballée de faire l'essaie de la base pour fond de teint NudebyNature. Toutefois, ce produit n'est pas idéal pour ma peau, en fait j'ai trouvé que l'application de cette base rendait ma peau plus huileuse qu'à l'habitude. Ceci étant dit, j'ai tout de même apprécié l'emballage, la texture du produit ainsi que le délicat parfum de celui-ci.

Je crois que c'est un produit qui peut fonctionner pour certaines personnes, mais malheureusement pas pour moi!

Strong smell

First thing I noticed was the strong smell so I would not suggest this to anyone who is sensitive to fragrance.

In terms of effectiveness, I didn't find that it extended my make-up. It does feel light and feels more like a moisturizer.

It's not for me

I received a sample of Nude by Nature Perfecting Primer for free from Chick Advisor. I have sensitive combination skin, I loved the foundation by Nude by Nature but I really didn't like the primer, as soon as I put it on my face it felt sticky and chalky and I found it hard to apply and makeup over it. Sadly it's not for me.

Not very good

I had high hopes for this primer. I was so excited when it came in the mail I immediately ran to the bathroom washed my face and tried it out.
I used it under my tarte water foundation, it had a strong citrusy smell to it which I immediately wasnt found of, and it left my skin almost tacky feeling.... I waited 30 mins before applying my foundation so it could dry (which I really won't have time to do if I have to work in the am) when I applied MN y foundation using a Kabuki brush it made my foundation go on very streaky! I had a hard time making it look even on my face. After building it up in the areas to compensate for the streaks, I found the primer didn't do much to keep the foundation on my face throughout the day. And then to make matters worse, bu the time the day was through, I washed my makeup off and I was annoyed to find it made my face breakout like crazy. I definitely womt be using this again.

Not as natural as I hoped

First of all this product smells disgusting. Some people might like it but it was too citrusy for me. The smell however doesn't last long so I can get over it. But I also don't find it worked very well, my face got oily quicker than normal. Also after I used it, I read the ingredients and noticed it had lanolin in it. So this product is not vegan, as I had expected it to be seeing as they're supposed to be natural and most brands these days are headed in that direction. Would not recommended.

Nude by Nature Perfecting Primer—Why *So Much* Scent?

I was sent the Nude by Nature Perfecting Primer by #ChickAdvisor to try & then review. It’s good that I #gotitfree , as had I purchased this out-of-pocket, I would have been quite disappointed. :(

The primer is white, but the colour disappears into your skin. The scent however—strangely citrus-ish—does *not* disappear. It’s strong on application & only fades very slightly on wearing.

I found that it left my skin very tacky feeling—not sticky, exactly, but my fingertips would catch & drag when I tried to stroke my cheek. Okay, thinking maybe I over-applied, I washed/dried my face then tried again with only a tiny bit. Same result, just in a smaller area as it didn’t spread well. I didn’t find that my makeup lasted any longer or looked any fresher, nor was it any worse than when using no primer.

Final thoughts: the Nude by Nature Perfecting Primer isn’t the product for me, YMMV.

I atried this product and not impressed. Its greasy and kinda pointless and a waste. Didn't seem to do much for me. Way to expensive for it not to work

Horrifying breakout!

I was super excited to try this line of products, so when I received a sample I could not wait to try it. My first thoughts were that it seemed to go on smooth and effectively and smelled amazing! I was pleased. However, the very next day my face broke out something awful and as this was the ONLY different product I used in my regime, I know it was caused by this alone. My photo is from 1 week since usage and I am still healing and horrified :(

Very Disappointing

I was thrown off by the smell of this primer. Most of my other primers do not have a scent and this one had a very overpowering floral smell to it, and scents do not normally bother me. My eyes would also sting, water and become very red for hours after putting it on. It did help my make up stay on and look great throughout the day but I think there are products that are out there that are just as good if not better than this one was.
