I used to work for Proactiv. I sold it at a kiosk for almost a year. Since then I've moved on to becoming an esthetician and worked in spas.

I learned some very specific things about this line.
-People regularly mistake the Repairing Lotion for a moisturizer. It is not. It's drying. You probably only need to use it once a day
-You HAVE to use a moisturizer when you use Proavtiv. Both salicylic acid and benzyl peroxide are extremely drying to the skin. If you don't use an oil-free moisturizer, your skin will go into overdrive and produce MORE oil. Counter Productive.

Proactiv is made for a very specific skin type. If you don't have that skin, you probably won't like the results.
Another thing to remember is that no product works for everyone. Scientifically and biologically, it has everything in it to control oil and bacteria. But sometimes formulations just don't work with certain body chemistries.

I saw people have amazing success with this product. Stuff I've never seen replicated with professional products. But I also saw it not work for others.
To this day and much to the chagrin of other estheticians, I still recommend Proactiv to some people . It's a no nonsense approach. Exfoliation, Salicylic Acid and Benzyl Peroxide. No fluff.

When it's used properly, and you pay attention to your skin and adjust accordingly there will be results. After the first round of proper usage as per instructions, start adjusting for yourself. Most people can get away with using it once a day or every two days. It lasts much longer.

In order for the guarantee to work, it does have to be used as suggested for the first month. I also saw the worst in consumers while working for Proactiv. Lying, cheating and stealing like you wouldn't believe. That's why they are so strict about the policy.

This was long winded, sorry. In conclusion: I recommend it. But only for oily and moderately acneic skin types.

THis left my face with so many scars! When I contacted pro activ they sold me a skin lightening lotion! So not only did I have scars that took months to fade away with their other overriced lotion, I had to buy even MORE! RIP OFF! This si one product eithher works 150% or RUINS YOUR FACE as it did with mine!

My acne is the occassional breakout, but my pores are the size of planets! I started using Proactive and my skin feels amazing...the texture is incredible and those pores, buh-bye, they are non-exisitant. While the three steps can be tiresome, the results are amazing skin that is seemingly flawless.

I absolutely LOVE Proactiv. I used to have really severe acne about 4 years ago and had to be put on special medication to get it under control. Anyways, I still get the odd zit here and there and swear by the repairing lotion by Proactiv. I actually only use the cream and don't bother with the rest of the kit. I recommend it to everyone although it works for some and not for others. It dries out my skin horribly but I only use it once in a while when I have a breakout or just want to dry my skin out to kill the breakouts and/or prevent them. I absolutely love this product!

Though I didn't really have horrible skin, I did have some blackheads and the occasional pimple, with Proactiv, I saw a big reduce in the number of pimples and blackheads I have. It's a very easy system to use, and works well. I did find the moisturizer that comes with it to be under-par a little bit though, and had to supplement it with my own moisturizer. Other then that little problem, Proactiv is a great product!

I can only speak for myself, but this product broke me out even more. I went from having acne every once in awhile to a bad break out at least once to twice a month. I tried it for a year and followed all of the instructions. I called and inquired and they suggested I use the maximum strength. I said no thank you and please stop my future orders.

I really wanted this to work, but was very disappointed.

I have used the cleanser since my teen days and love how it makes my skin feel fresh. Now in my late 20s I only use the cleanser and toner once a day in the morning after showerin. I no longer use the lotions as they were just too oily for my skin. I will use the mask occasionally if I have spots or have been wearing too much makeup. I now buy the cleanser and toner seperately as the kit was just too expensive and I didn't use the products up all at once.

I never thought a product could work this well for my skin. I didn't have severe acne but always would have some pimples on my face. Within weeks of using ProActive my acne is completely gone and I have now been using it for around two years. I would definately recommend this product to anybody.

I have never found stuff that would say they would help my skin until now Proactive is amazing stuff you see results within days
