Bursting with flavour

The perfect, easy food option that has a great burst of flavour! I loved the the spice was present, but not overwhelming. A great blend of different grains that most people don't typically have in their diet. Would be perfect for camping or traveling!

good grains!!

i was excited to try this. i love easy and healthy meal options. i enjoyed this. i did add some green beans and sauce to it..i like that this is versatile and you can customize it . i loved that it had quinoa, brown rice and farro along with corn and beans as it was very filling and satisfying. it had a very slight spice to it which i loved. looking forward to try other flavours!!!

Yummy Vegan Taco Meat Alternative

My very first thought on this product is that was too spicy for my kids. Unfortunately, I live in an era where anything flavourful is spicy. However, I liked it a lot! I thought it had great flavour! I also thought it almost looked and smelt like taco meat. Which would be a super fast alternative and its also vegan! Which I try to include at least one vegan meal in my diet each week.
I also thought this would be a excellent quick lunch if you're in a hurry, and trying eat a whole food diet.

I really like the convenience

I really love the Convenience of these packets. I always make some sort of meat in the crockpot because it’s getting cold and is crockpot season!!! These packets when I tell you are decently sized and taste AMAZING!! I am not lying to you. I was surprised with how much come in very filling and loaded with all delicious goodness you can’t beat it. Definitely worth it

Purgrains Aztec Chipotle Pouch

I was one of the lucky recipients to try Purgrains Aztec Chipolte Ranch. The product is ready in about two minutes and all you need to do is tear the top of the pouch and microwave for 90 seconds and voila! This is a great option for a quick side dish. The price point is around $5 which I think is compatible with similar products. I like spice so I didn't mind the moderate flavour, I could taste notes of paprika and cliantro. If you are not one for spice just keep that in mind. The product is a mix of grains (quinoa, rice and farro) and veggies though I found very little beans and corn in the pouch and wish there were more veggies in the mix. The grains were well cooked after 90 seconds in the microwave. Overall this product is a quick and flavorful side dish that's easy to prepare with an average price point.

I love this stuff. Easy to make, delicious and fresh! Goes great as a side, or by itself. My family loved the Aztec Chipotle flavour and I plan to try the rest in the near future!

Would like to try the other flavours

I liked the product for its whole grain texture and the idea that it's a precooked 'grab-and-go' item, that only requires reheating. However, I did find the coriander flavor a bit too intense and I needed to add some fresh lime juice for some acidity in order to offset the pungent coriander taste. I am very curious about the other flavors though, and would like to try the rest of the options, apart from the Aztec Chipotle.

Cannot stand the smell

I received this pack of Purgrains Aztec Chipotle for free from Chickadvisor for my honest opinion. I’m not a big fan of Chipotle, but I was excited to try this out. I decided to warm this up in the microwave which did not take long at all. I like that the packaging is convenient to take on the go, and how fast it is to heat this up. I did not need to add any water. I found this to be bland, it was not spicy at all, I added my own spices to give it more flavor and there was not a lot of corn pieces. The only thing that did stand out was the smell, it was really strong and almost put me off from eating this. I don’t think I would purchase this in the future but I would probably be willing to try out the other flavors like the lemon dill.

Good taste and very convenient.

I like this product as it tastes really good and most importantly it is very convenient. It is easy to prepare and all you have to do is to put it in the microwave and “DING!” - enjoy your dish!
