This is the best cheap beauty sponge I have used. I have uses others and wont buy them anymore. This one is pretty great. It's no beauty blender but it gets the job done when you can't afford to buy the beauty blender. It does hold more water so you have to squeeze it a few times. It also absorbs more product but all in all, I like it.

After trying other sponge applicators, I picked this up as a dupe to the pricier BB. I started using it about a month ago -- I typically only use it 5-7 times a month. I thought it was great -- it feels great and it works lovely even for undereye. BUT in less than a dozen uses in thelast month, its already started to disintegrate. LIttle bits are coming off it, and the sponge itself is split in places.

I use this everyday to blend out my under eye concealer and it works so good! It's so soft and manageable! I sometimes wet mine a bit if my concealer is too dry and it works great like that too!

I bought my sponge two weeks ago & I LOVE my Beauty Blender but as an alternative and more affordable is this sponge! real techniques really did their homework because this sponge is SO nice it is denser but doesn't soak up product and waste it! I love this sponge how it has many different sides to it to get into those hard to reach areas and to blend my foundation & concealer out flawlessly.

Absolutely love this beauty sponge! You can find it at your local walmart for half of the cost of the original beauty blender. Its super bouncy and fluffs up a lot when placed under water which is great! What i love about this beauty blender is not only does it have a pointed side where is perfect for getting right under your eye to blend out concealer and translucent powder but it also has a flat side which is amazing to blend out your foundation. Highly recommend.

I thought this product is a great dupe for the beauty blender but it disappointed me. It is not soft as they advertised. It's too big and dense. It absorbs much product and doesn't dispense it as well as a beauty blender does.

I was at a makeup class at Shoppers Drug Mart my friend was teaching and she mentioned these sponges . She said they were really good . So after the class I went to Walmart to purchase them. The next day I wet the sponge and did my makeup with it. It blended my makeup very well and just left an overall good finish on my face . It helped with my makeup not looking cakey which is fantastic ! They're around 10 dollars at Walmart and worth every penny .

This is by far the best makeup sponge!
Every foundation/ bb cream/ concealer I've tried with this sponge comes out looking flawless! I've stopped using brushes for my base. I wet it under water then used it in dapping motions to blend out the product.

In comparison to a beauty blender I think that the RT one does a better job. I like the flat edge of the RT sponge better than the rounded bottom of a BB. I think the pointed end also holds it shape better as well.

Because these are so cheap I don't mind replacing it every three months which is recommended due to hygienic reasons. With the BB I felt like I was getting voluntarily robbed every time I went into Sephora for a re-purchase. I can get two of these sponges in a double pack at London Durgs for cheaper than one BB.

The RT sponges tend to get small rips (not really rips but it tends to wear away where you would hold it) by the end of a three month period anyways but I don't see this as a downside more like a reminder to get a fresh one and stop the spread of bacteria on my face. I do wash it out with hypoallergenic soap after every use which I feel contributions to the deterioration of the sponge.

The real techniques sponge is a great low cost dupe for the beauty blender. The only downside I noticed is that it soaks up a bit more foundation that the beauty blender. Other than that, it makes your foundation look more natural and not as cakey compared to using a makeup brush.
