A twist to Rubik's cube

I received this rubik's cube and gave it to my daughter. Initially she was very excited but after a while was disinterested as the colours vanish unless you touch it. Unless someone is super into solving these cubes and want to try to up the difficulty level, i would not recommend anyone tp buy it. A super enthusiastic might enjoy it but my daughter didn't like it much. Will pass it to my husband may be he can try his hands on this one. Suitable for all ages above 8.

Loving it

I received Rubiks Advanced level cube from Spinmaster, Familyrated club, Chickadvisor for free in exchange of honest reviews. My kids are loving this cube even though they are still figuring it out. Less screen time now. They carry this on the go instead of iPads now. I’m really happy. If you love challenges then I would recommend it.

Absolutely Fantastic and Challenging

It comes out of the box and all the sections are greyish black. Well... you touch it and the colors come to LIFE! It is pretty much a race against time and warmth to solve it. Definitely raises the difficult level and brings on the challenge 100%. The heat sensitive colors that are revealed by touch causes one to concentrate way more and changes things up from the normal cubes. It was a HIT with the little and has kept them occupied, entertained and challenged. Just an ingenious little toy.

A perfect gift

My nephew loved this puzzle toy and spent hours playing with it. Such a great thinking toy that keeps him away from screens. Highly recommend this for 7-12 year olds as it requires creativity and lots of thinking!!

Mind challenging rubics

Did you know the rubics cube was created to help students understand three-dimensional problems? 40 years later and the Rubics cube remains one of the top toys for all ages. I remember my grandfather playing with one..it looked way to complicated for me, and still is. When this new thermochromic puzzle cube we call a rubics came in the mail from #familyratedclub I thought "oh no"...can I peel off the stickers and trick everyone into thinking I did it? lol.. my 11 year old daughter took right to it. She figured it out quite quickly...I was shocked..I couldn't believe it..than I found out she had looked online to see how to solve the cube. This cube looks really cool..I think the orignal one is white? This cube is black and the colours are supost to fade as time goes by playing it until you cannot see the colours anymore.. I tried warming it up numerous ways, my hands, holding thumb doen, hot breath and couldn't get the colours to budge. This cube is for advanced puzzlers I must add because I don't stand a chance with it. I'm really happy Bella has taken a liking to the rubics. I bet in no time she will have it mastered. She's an amazing puzzler. Will be a great QUIET addition for summer trips with Long car rides..were all quite competitive so I'm not giving ip on it myself just yet.

Maybe our hands have too poor of circulation?

So I REALLY love the idea of this! It’s super neat! It worked for my two 11 year olds, as their hands are generally pretty warm, but it did not work well for myself & my partner. Maybe we just have too poor of circulation for this toy? I had to hold it in my palm and rotate it a few times to get the colours working right. Still a really cool idea though!

A new twist to the timeless toy

#gotitfree We love puzzles in this house and the Rubik cube is one of the favourites. This Phantom Rubik cube makes it more interesting. My 12 year old loves the challenge and the almost 8 year old cannot wait for his turn to get a try. Definitely a hit! and on our list of presents for friends and family.

amazing version

My kids got excited when I told them we're getting a free rubiks game. They can't wait to play with it when we got it. At first we are wondering why its not black as shown in the picture. there's no clear instructions how it the thermochromatic effect works. Its not changing color even when we're holding it. We thought to try to put it inside the freezer for a bit to see if it will change, and so thats how we found out how. Im so amazed with it changing colors as we touch it. really fun and challenging. A really amazing twist on solving the cube. Just 4 stars because it needs to stay cold for it to stay black and that means putting it in the freezer frequently.
