Strong smell

I have been on the hunt for a natural deodorant for a while now. This brand worked great! I personally wasn’t a fan of the scent. To apply you have to hold it under your arm to allow the deodorant to warm up before you can apply it. Not sure if I didn’t warm it up enough... but I found the application slightly rough.

Not my match

I was thrilled to have the opportunity to #trySchmidtsNaturals as they have a great reputation, and the new formulations sounded incredible. I had never tried hemp seed oil in a deodorant, and was intrigued by the scent. As for all products, not all natural deodorants work the same for each person. Unfortunately, these were not a match for me, though there are certain qualities I would like to highlight.

I tried to use the deodorant a few times, none were a success for me.
My main concerns were: the strength of the fragrance, which went on very strong and did not fade much over the course of the day (a problem if you are scent sensitive like me and/or you work in a scent-free environment, this means that the deodorant would not be considered an acceptable product), as well as the texture and application. I followed the directions for application, but it smeared a lot even when trying to apply lightly, this meant that the deodorant felt very wet and sticky, and did not "dry" down even after 15-20 minutes wait before dressing, marking clothes and feeling uncomfortable. I left it in an air conditioned room, it should not have felt like that.
The positives I noted was that while strong, the scent was distinctive and some people will really enjoy it; it's reminiscent of patchouli, but you can pick out the distinct rose and black pepper notes as it warms on your body, and it's not artificial smelling. The formula is packed full of moisturizing ingredients, incredible for underarm skin. The deodorant is also vegan and aluminum free.

Odeur très agréable

J'ai adoré l'odeur de ce produit. Par contre, la tenue et la texture ne m'ont pas séduite. Je préfère les textures moins huileuses. Par contre, l'odeur est tout simplement sublime.

Smells good, but that's it

Surprisingly, I loved the smell of roses and pepper in this Schmidt's deodorant. I've used it for a week, and unfortunately it doesn't give me enough protection that would last all day, and it leaves white marks on my clothes. So, it is a 'no' for me. Anyways, thank you very much for letting me try this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion.

Interesting scent

Never seen such an interesting combination for deodorant, rose and black pepper! Texture is similar to regular deodorants. No white marks for me. Skin did feel a little itchy after the first use but after it was ok. Packaging is really nice.

Pas pour moi

Je n'ai pas aimer la texture elle est collante et laisse des marques sur les vêtements.

Le parfum de ce désodorisant ne m'allais pas non plus.

Smells great but

Sadly I got a rash from this one. Not sure why but I won’t be purchasing it. I do love the unique scent though! I will stick to the lavender scent for now.

Strong spicy scent but lasts

The initial scent was very strong and spicy however still pleasant. The smell lasted a long time but may have just been too much for me.

Je n'ai pas aimer ce produit. La senteur était très forte et restait sur mes vêtements même apres le lavage et était irritant pour la peau. Loin d'être efficace lorsque ont va au gym . La sueur et la senteur de ce produit ensemble est un mauvais mélange

A review of Schmidt's Natural Deodorant

I have tried a number of natural deodorants over the years, unfortunately for me, this one did not make the cut!

Positives:
Great packaging
Really pretty product
Great smell, very unique
price point is fair for natural deodorants

Negatives:
I felt like although I loved the smell it didn't mix well with my smell and I think it was creating a weird order. I find this can happen with some sents options with natural deodorants. I also found I had to apply alot more of the product then I do with others.

All in all, I was hoping this product would be a good cheaper alternative to a natural deodorant I currently use but unfortunately it was not working for me!
