Awesome Product!

I don't have grey hair & I don't care if my roots are visible but I have to recommend this product for anyone who does!
I decided that I would use this to cover up my pink bangs & it works so well. I could completely see myself using this to hide my colors if I were to go to court or any other situation where colorful hair might not be the best.

I will definitely keep a can on hand just in case " I will be giving my girlfriend's each a can as well!

A quick fix

I received this product for free. I'm impressed with the coverage. It sprays out a little stripy but if you blend it with a brush or fingers to disperse the colour uniformly, it covers any regrowth very well. Don't forget to wash your hands right after if not, your hands will have stains.

The product info was hard to find (under the label). I wished it was more visible on the bottle.

I like this product as a quick fix in between my salon appointment. There's 25 applications, so it's not that bad. Downside is that I need to reapply the product everyday since it washes off when shampooing.

Not really for me

I wasn't sure what to expect by using Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher. I read instructions and away I went! The initial spray didn't look like it got my hair, so I tried again, which led to an accidental shot right to my scalp. Once I got the hang of spraying and holding the bottle at just the right angle, the process was relatively easy. I had to use my brush to blend it in a bit, as there were areas that looked a little off.
Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher did a wonderful job of covering my grey! While this isn't a product I would normally use, nor go out of my way to purchase, I'd say it's good when you're in a pinch between salon/at home dye touch ups. Don't be like me and touch your hair after an application! I ended up with black on my hands! I would definitely avoid using the root retoucher on a rainy or snowy day.

Not sure I'd recommend this product!

I was excited to try this because I hate dying all the time just to cover the few grey hairs that seem to pop out before I am ready for the next complete dye. The product covered the grey just fine but if you touch the area at all the colour transfers to your hands even after it’s had plenty of time to dry. It also made my hair feel crunchy (for lack of a better word). I also found that you couldn’t really control where the spray was going. Not too happy about this product at all.

Only good for Halloween!!

I wanted this product to work so bad!!! For my stubborn and magically appearing greys. As the product was tricky to use I tried on my daughters grown out roots and turned it on my whites. It spits at the same time which is messy and hard for foreheads and around ears, it also sprays like a can of spray paint. It covers ok to be honest, but don’t expect for your hair to feel normal. It feels like it’s hard and stickyish. The paint or should I say color doesn’t come out in one wash off the scalp, it stains clothing. If you touch your hair it will get on your hands and it is unfortunately not a good product, unless all you need is a quick cover and you don’t mind the feel of product in the hair.

Temporary Root Cover Spray in Black isn,t worth the trouble

The Schwarzkopf temporary root cover spray is a big disappointment. The instructions were on the inside of the label, which is good. I got the black colour. It smells of butane but was tolerable. Went on precisely where I wanted it to be sprayed. It had dried fairly quickly and left a matt finish. Was hoping it would be a bit shinier. It made my hair feel like straw. There was significant dye transfer and flaking onto my face. Got some dye transfer in my car. Not a happy camper. Dye still transferred after 6 hrs. Once I got home, I hopped into the shower and it took 3 shampoos to get the colouring out and conditioner. There was still colouring transfer after all that on my hair towel. Not happy at all with this product. I will not recommend it or buy it.

Best product for covering your roots

I would definitely buy this product again. It cover the hair better than any other product I have tried. The color blended very well with the rest of my hair. After applying this it looked like I just had my hair colored This is wonderful for between colorings.

Works great as a temporary hair colour

I tried the root retoucher in black, to cover up some greys that I'm getting along my temple. It took a few tries to get the hang of the proper application (how close to hold it to my roots, how much product to use, etc.), and I thought it worked pretty well. I initially couldn't find the application directions, but it's on the underside of the label on the can. I do wish that the colour lasted a bit longer than one shampoo. I shampoo every other day and had to reapply this a few times a week. Still, this is a cheaper and easier alternative than going to a salon or dying your hair at home, if you're only touching up a few areas.

I'd buy it if I had an unscheduled important appointment.

It works great for when you have an unexpected appointment and you need a quick roots cover up. I love that it's a Schawrtzkopf product. It does not look cheaply sprayed on.
