Silky formula goes on easy

I decided to try this Smashbox Primer after one of my makeup artist friends highly recommended it for my needs. Whenever I wear foundation, I always use this primer as my base. The silky formula goes on easy, doesn't require a lot and ensures your face has a nice smooth finished complexion. I find it works well with my combination skin and doesn't cause any irritation on my sensitive skin. A good buy for the pricepoint.

Would recommend

I love this primer because it actually works, my makeup sits so beautifully on it and lasts throughout the entire day. I would recommend getting a trial size first because it is a bit pricey.

A good primer

I have tried this primer several times and I don't always love it. It may be my skin, (combination) but it doesn't always last as long as I think it should. Overall, it is a decent primer.

Best Primer!!

While it's fairly pricey, a little bit goes a long way with this primer! It gives you an incredible smooth finish and helps your makeup last all day. I pair this with my UD setting spray and my makeup doesn't budge!!

Doesn’t work for me. Could be my skin type however.

I’m not bashing smashbox in any way as I have a few other products that I like from them. I find that this primer doesn’t do what it’s supposed to for me. It may be my skin type, but I find that my foundation doesn’t sit or settle well. I find I have more creases and my pores are more exposed. It creates a lot of oil after a few hours of wear. I might need a different type (I know smashbox has a few other primers), but this one just doesn’t sit well. I have combo skin, oily/dry depending on weather or environment. It’s a matter of trial and error. At shoppers (ontario) they have sample packs. I’d suggest to ask for one to see before spending money on this product or get a demo at Sephora. It just doesn’t work for me but I’m sure it works for others. Just have to match right skin type or concealer/foundation type. Due to this reason I will not purchase in the future but do purchase other smashbox products.

Not my favorite

I had such high hopes for this product as it was one of my first high end makeup purchases. I would say that this primer does a sub par job with blurring my pores. I can still see them but they don't look as large. This primer does not help with making my foundation last longer and it seems to make my makeup look cakier throughout the day. The one thing that I do like about this product is that it makes makeup application very smooth.

Love this stuff

I love the way this primer goes on so smooth and doesn't feel heavy. It made my foundation go on so much smoother. I will definiately by purchasing the full size version of this. My favourite so far. Love it!

Awesome face primer

Smashbox face primer is amazing! It goes on smoothly and a little goes a long way. Feels like silk on your face. Holds your makeup amazingly! I have tried many primers and this is by far my favorite

Smooth canvas for makeup application

This primer leaves your face feeling super smooth and ready for makeup application. My make up lasts all day with this primer, without making it look dry or flaky!! Definitely my go to primer :)

Would definitely recommend this product

I love this product. The gel formula is light without being too drying or oily - perfect for my combination skin. It definitely helps my foundation go on smoother, making my skin look even and healthy. Just make sure you use a really small amount and apply it quickly using your fingers. The only con is the price. It’s fairly expensive for a small amount, but if you are willing to spend more for a good product, it’s worth it.
