This cereal is my go to when I am in that early morning mood for chocolate without the guilt that follows. In this, you are eating the bran flakes that are actually just as tasty as frosted flakes in my opinion, with special light chocolate chunks mixed in a few bites. Put it this way, it tastes so good, that my 2 and 5 year old beg me for bites when I am trying to indulge. The price is average for a box of cereal, less than $5, and you can usually find great coupons and sale prices throughout the year. I highly recommend this cereal for you health nuts and for those guilty pleasure seekers. It works for me every time!

Seen the commercial for this cereal and being a huge chocolate lover had to track these down after searching through our grocery stores and coming out empty handed I was disappointed not to try this cereal. We went to California on a family vacation and we went to pick up a few groceries to eat in the mornings I was ecstatic to see this cereal on the shelf!!! However was extremely disappointed when I tried it. It was nothing like I imagined the chocolate did not even taste like chocolate and it was very bland. I would not recommend this cereal I say stick with vanilla almond yum!!

This was a pretty good cereal. Although the chocolate isn't exactly the best quality chocolate, what else would you expect from a cereal that is supposed to help you lose weight? This doesn't mean that the chocolate in the cereal is bad. It's actually quite delicious. Eat it with cold milk and you have a indulgent snack that you won't feel guilty about. The flakes are really good as well and they complement the chocolate nicely. Just like other Special K cereals, this is a little pricey but the satisfaction from the product makes up for it!

Although I am generally a fan of Special K they missed the boat on this one. The "chocolate" pieces do not taste very chocolaty and are very waxy. If you want chocolate, save yourself the disappointment and have a piece of dark chocolate (it's healthy). The box sat in our cupboard for a while until I finally sent it to the compost. Great idea, but didn't like the taste.

I got the cereal for only $2 because the store was having a meg-sale. After seeing all of the advertisements about not ruining your diet by using this cereal to stave off cravings, I was excited to try it. Disappointment! The first bowl I poured for myself had about 3 chocolate chunks in it. (Not really the cereal's fault as I simply hadn't shaken the box enough to distribute all of the pieces that settled on the bottom.) The cereal itself tasted chocolately, but the chocolate chunks were extremely waxy. They left that "blech" layer of film across the roof of your mouth when you finished. Plus, when comparing the nutritional information to my husband's bowl of "Chocolatey Goodness," they were not that much better! Special K had more vitamins and a little less sugar, but the calorie count was almost the same! It filled me up and was on sale, but I would nevere pay full price for this cereal.

Normally I'd recommend all Special K cereal, but this is not the best one I've had. The flakes are still delicious and great with milk... but the chocolate is the downside of this product, ironically. The chocolate got stuck in the roof of my mouth and my teeth when I was eating it... not a great experience. I should have just gotten the regular one.
