I love love love this body butter. It makes my skin sooooo soft. I put it on when I get out of the shower and I can't stop feeling how smooth i am!

Like most of The Body Shop's body butters, their Shea Body Butter has a luxurious texture, very rich, emollient and moisturizing. Though it's a bit greasy for my hands, it works wonders on the rest of my body (especially my itchy legs), and leaves a pretty sheen on my arms and shoulders.

For the most part, I would totally recommend this stuff. Two complaints, however. One, I hate the smell. You might love the smell, which is why I still recommend it. But to me, it smells like that thick white cream that you put on a baby's bums to soothe diaper rash. You know that stuff? Ugh! I really, really don't want to smell like that.

The second complaint is that the formula has parabens in it. I don't really know if I'm against parabens, but given some of the concerns about them, and the fact that there are so many effective moisturizers out there that DON'T use them (even some Body Shop products) I'm not sure why they're in this one. Just a heads up for those of you who want to avoid them.

I tried the Body Shop's Shea Body Butter and I thought it was a good product. I enjoyed the smell of it, as it was not too overpowering, and it really did help my dry legs. I did, however, find the product to be quite greasy, which is something I don't like in a body lotion, but the product did last a long time.

The product retails for approximately $20 at The Body Shop, and personally I think that this price is in line with other Body Shop products, but is too much for this product itself. I wouldn't buy this product for myself in the future, as the benefits of the product do not add up to enough to warrant the price. I would however recommend the product to others who prefer Body Shop products.

I received this product for the Product Review Club. I love it~! Love the smell but wish that it was longer lasting although I'm so happy that the scent isn't "overpowering". I've used it on my legs and arms after a shower and loved how absorbant it is. I also reapplied during the day and like how refreshing it is. I get really dry skin during the winter months and loved how this product worked and did the job well.

I received this through the product review club and was glad it was the larger tub! There are two sizes available and many different scents available. The cream is like 'butter' and spreads easily on your body without making much effort. The skin feels so soft and not oily or sticky at all. This product is great in the winter as it is great for dry skin. The package is great and it smells fantastic. The cream actually lasts the whole day, however the scent is not very long lasting. I would definitely buy this product again, as you don't have to use too much for the effect to happen.

One of the things I like best about this is that it smells very nice. It also makes my skin feel smooth instead of that greasy feeling that other products leave.
I have really dry legs and hands in the winter so I was happy to have this product. It made my skin look a lot more radiant and less flaky. I love that it can also be used for your hands not just on your legs.
This is the perfect product to have in the wintertime when the conditions make skin a lot drier and itchy. It relieved these symptoms for me right away after the first use. I was very impressed with the quality and would definitely consider buying and suggesting to my friends as well.

Love the smell, can't get enough of it. I've been using it as a hand cream and on my knees and elbows throughout the day and I've noticed a real difference. I've also put it on after the shower and really enjoyed how quickly it absorbed into my skin. The smell doesn't stay strong for too long which is nice. I'd recommend this to anyone with normal to moderately dry skin, you might need something a touch richer for super dry.

i absolutley LOVED this product! I used it after each shower and throughout the day and it provided a noticable difference within days! i fully reccomend this product, in fact i bought several in different sents as gifts this holiday season! I thought this product was pure quality.As soon as I opened the jar I inhaled deeply and smelled the amazing aroma.So far I have noticed some improvement in my skin,it's usually dry ,sometimes flakey,horrible.This body butter helps to make it soft and smooth.I definitely want to try some of their other body butters as well.

The Body shop Shea butter has a very pleasant fragrance. It also smooths very nicely on the skin. Even if you use a bit of the product you can feel the difference. It made my skin feel softer after using it after taking a shower, hence I would recommend for after shower or bath applications, as well as throughout the day when you feel your skin is getting uncomfortable. The box is moderately appealing but the brand Body shop itself speaks for its quality, and I would buy this product again.
