i tried these when i got free samples in the mail and was quite dissapointed. the pads are ok, i like the fact that they were very thin and easy to use but the tampons were horrible. they are not absorbant at all and i found they leaked right away. they might be ok if you are towards the end of you period but the first couple days you can't use them. i find tampax to have much better tampons with better absorbancy. i would not spend my money on this but i love the fact that they had a free sample campaign!

I wanted to use these because I enjoyed the fun colors. I originally purchased the regular size because I thought the super and plus super would be to big, I soon realized that the regular was not big enough. Once I figured out that regular was small absorbency, super was regular and super plus was heavy, I liked the product more than I originally had. Plus, BF said he liked how the box looked.

So this was my first time trying Kotex for my period just because I just LOVE the colours! I did get some packages from work so I didn't pay for them but going to the local Shoppers Drug Mart they are a decent price.
Unfortunately when you actually insert the tampon it doesn't like to come out of the applicator so you need to insert the cotton by hand which is not fun. On the plus side I found there was less leakage which is great!
So in conclusion do not waste your money on these tampons if you do enjoy an applicator that actually does what it is suppose to.

Well I really have no complaints about the overall product, my BF said they were great, and I'm always up to try something new, but man was I disappointed. They were one of the most expensive products there, and the only thing great about them was the vibrant colors. I'm almost 30 so, color isn't really important to me, it's not like you show them off or anything. Well atleast I don't!

I was lucky and got some of the tampons, pads and liners as a free sample. Definitely something I will buy again, the packaging is actually kind of cute and not as boring as my other favourite brands. The tampons and pads themselves work very well, and are small which makes it easy to take them with you. They aren't very easy to conceal though :P just because of the bright packaging.
In each sample package there was a liner, a pad, two regular tampons plus a coupon for $1 off :)
Easy to use, works as well as/better than other brands and the packing spices things up a little bit (any little bit helps during that time of the month).

After watching the commercials for U By Kotex I was excited to try them.

I was sorely disappointed. Not only for the price I paid (they're more expensive than other tampons), but for the pairs of underwear that got incredibly stained...

These tampons leaked so badly I might as well have not been using a tampon at all. The largest size was very small, and while for most that would be good, the tampon had this problem with staying inside me. The times it did not fall out the tampons absorbed maybe a drop of blood... and I'm being generous there.

The gaudy packaging makes carrying these around discreetly very hard to do. The wrappers were too loud for my taste.

At first I just thought I got the bad package from a batch so I purchased a second box from a different location. But I was wrong. So very wrong. These are awful, awful tampons. I would never buy these again.

The only plus this product has was the packaging of each individual tampon was very resistant to water... one went through the wash and was bone dry after--though that COULD be because the tampons fail to absorb!

I'm quite disappointed in this product. With all the amazing commercials that Kotex is running right now, I would have thought that their 'new line' of products would have been more original and innovative.

These tampons are run of the mill. They work alright but there is nothing special about them. The applicator is kind of funky, but you can here the click so if you are wanting to be discrete in a public bathroom, these aren't for you. I find Tampax Compact tampons to be much more user friendly.

In addition, I find that these tampons are rather small compared to my usual brand (Tampax). Not that they are smaller and more effective, just that a 'regular' in Kotex is more like a 'light' in Tampax.

All in all... I'd use these tampons, however I wouldn't choose them if I have the option of using Tampax Compact.

Face it- tampons are expensive. This product in my area is a few cents (about 45) more than the competitors at the moment.

As a teen I used Tampax, but now.. I don't know if they changed the way they make them or not, or if my lady parts got that messed up after birth, but I cannot use them. I need an applicator, so I typically use playtex tampons, and always a liner. Occasionally, if funds are super tight I've purchased regular Kotex tampons, but generally prefer the playtex ones. Bottom line is- since having kids, nothing seems to work.

I received samples of these in the mail and was expecting failure. Turns out that I was very wrong! The entire time I was using this product, I had not a leak. I don't know if it's because the sample I received was regular, and it happened to be one of my lighter days, or if they truly are that amazing. I do plan on buying these when Dear Aunt Flo is due back in town again to see if they work as well on my heavier days.

I do like the packaging, but honestly, I couldn't care what the box looks like. The wrappers are neon colors, which makes it uber easy to find them in your pocketbook. The bad part about that is that the kids want to play with it more.. if they happen to be in your purse for the umpteenth time. I don't see that their neon wrappers last any more or less (in the bottom of my purse) than the other brands I use.. I would say that part is about normal. I would recommend this product to others.

Kotex has always been a brand I more or less ignored but due to their new marketing scheme I have been converted. I'm loving the vibrant colors of the packaging and interesting ways they have marketed their products. Everything about this product is good with me. My only problem would be with the need to ensure that the applicator is 'locked/clicked' before insertion. Otherwise, I like the shape and easiness of this product.

I received these as a free sample with some of the company's panty liners. I wasn't prepared to be impressed as every tampon I've tried other than OB in the past 20 odd years has been junk. Tampax swell lengthwise, making you very often feel like you've grown a male appendage. If I want a sex change, I'll go to Thailand, thanks. Playtex are simply a joke. It's like using an internal parachute hoping to catch some liquid with it, and they LEAK! OB is small, expands properly, takes up no room in my bag, the wrapper doesn't ever come off in my bag and they are super absorbent. As I said, I was prepared to NOT be impressed by these new kids on the block. I was seriously wrong.

The packaging was a bit confusing, firstly, as the insert that comes with it shows that each absorbency has a different 'hue'. But when I looked at mine, I had extra colors that weren't listed in the product insert. Mine also had an R on them. No mention of that on the brochure. I guessed that meant they were 'regular' absorbency. Regardless, I decided to try them. I was spending the day at home, so it was very unlikely I was going to have any horrific tampon terrors happening.

The plastic package didn't make me happy because my experience in the past with tampons in these types of wrappers is that they end up coming off when they're floating around with all the junk in my bag. Which renders them unsanitary for use. Which means I waste money. I opened up the wrapper and immediately noticed the plastic applicator is color coordinated with the packaging LOL Amusing, and so not necessary, but whatever. If the product works, I don't care what color they decide to make them. Pulled out the PLUNGER as instructed, til I heard a small click. So far so good. And popped that bad boy in! Just for good measure, as I was expecting to have a flood happening later due to it being a 'high flow' day, I reinforced my ladies under things with one of their pads - also a free sample.

Lo and behold, I went ALL day with no problems. Not even a spot. I was in shock, I tell ya. Seriously. Every other tampon other than OB has failed me, multiple times, miserably. Not this one. It worked so well that I didn't wind up changing it til the recommended tampon standard time for usage. I don't want to get too graphic, but when I did change it, I immediately noticed these things are constructed EXACTLY like an OB tampon. Which would explain why I had no leakage, no torpedoes shooting out of me, nothing. No problems at all. Absolutely amazing.

Yep, will buy them again, especially with the coupon. The only test I have left for these is if the plastic packaging comes off the tampon while it's being banged around in my bag. They're a bit bigger than an OB because of the applicator, but because they do have an applicator, that means my hands remain clean. For you ladies who are embarrassed when your girly things suddenly flop out of your bag in front of a date, male co workers, etc these may not be for you. They are super duper neon colored. Just one of these things dropping out of your bag onto the floor could been seen for miles. It's like looking at a homing beacon, for god's sake. For me, I couldn't care less. We're women. We bleed. Everybody knows it. At least if my tampons do come flying out of my bag, they'll look cute LOL And I can always lie and say it's candy hahaha There is a plus to them being neon colored, though. Easily found in your bag if your wimmins stuff is always loose in your bag.

    Have fun, girls :-)

BTW, I personally hate the commercial and their website. SWAG they call it....LOL....really? SWAG? Yeah......not.....a lame attempt at their marketing people to make themselves look hip. At which they fail miserably hahaha

I forgot to mention, every other Kotex product I have tried during my extremely long life LOL has been terrible. Crappy quality, remind me of my mother's and grandmother's stuff. These are the only exception. Killer product.
