Good base

I like using this as a base for home made fried rice because I don't even need to heat it up, I just open the package and put it in the pan and dinner is ready in less than 20 minutes!

Healthy choice for families

We love this new line of products from Uncle Bens using more whole grains for added fibre. Our two year LOVES rice but we wanted something a bit better for her and she also LOVES these blends. My only concern is that they have a lot of salt... bit that's what makes them tasty. You can compensate with less salt elsewhere in your meal.

I would not buy this

Definitely a taste that you would have to be used to before buying and consuming. I wanted to try it because quinoa is all the rage right now, it seems to be in every product you buy. The texture and taste of this was nothing like I had ever tasted before. Brown rice alone is something you have to get used to when accustomed to eating white rice, but that part was tolerable, quinoa on the other hand, I will honestly never purchase and item that has that as one of their main ingredients.
Fyi I love uncle bens, from their regular rice to their bistro rices etc. This however has made the top of my "not again in a million years" list

The one and only time I tried uncle bens was this flavor. I was very sceptical because I've never tried instant rice before but it was very easy to make and tasted pretty good. Nothing amazing but I would buy again for a lazy day if I don't feel like cooking.

I had high hopes for this rice but I cooked it according to the instructions and about 40 mins later there was still a lot of rice in the pot so I had to turn it up to high for it to evaporate. Wasn't good at all.
