I received this product as part of the Chick Advisor Product Review Club. I used to use the Vichy Normaderm range about ten years ago when I was a young teenager. My skin hasn't changed much since then: I have combination skin, with an oily T-zone, and I suffer from blackheads, mostly on my forehead. I'm not too fussed about which cleanser I use. I most commonly just use cetaphil or cerave - simple, effective, and not too expensive. I don't think that the Vichy Normadern cleanser was anything special compared to the more simple cleansers I use most often. The whole Normaderm range as a unpleasant smell to it, at least to my sense of smell, so I already did not enjoy using the products for that reason. Also, because my skin is combination, I found that this cleanser was too stripping on the parts of my skin that are more dry. I did not find that this cleanser was any more effective at removing residual makeup (I always remove my makeup with a cleansing oil first), I did not help that it helped combat my blacks or oily t-zone. I would not repurchase this cleanser.

I received this product from Chick Advisor to test it out for free. I've been using it for about 2 weeks now and have slowly noticed a difference in my skin. I was using a cleanser from Fresh before that was doing an amazing job, but decided to try this product out as many people have raved about how great Vichy products are. This cleanser leaves my skin soft and not dry - which is a huge plus. I did notice that I started breaking out more than normal when I first started using this - but the breakouts have definitely gone down. Is it the best cleanser I've ever used? No - but because it's only been a couple of weeks, I'll keep using it to see what the long term results are!

This was my least favourite of the products I was sent (the others being toner and lotion). I didn't really feel as if it was deeply cleaning my skin. My skin does feel cleaner after I use it, but I don't think it provides any other benefits that would make it a stand out product. I do like the consistency of the gel; it applies easily. It lathers a bit and leaves my skin looking clean, but it doesn't make it look bright, healthy or moisturized. I'm not saying this product is supposed to do all of these things, but some do and so this one just doesn't really measure up. Overall, it didn't do much for my skin. It cleaned it, and that's good, but it didn't deliver on its claim.

As this cleanser is meant to be used on acne prone sensitive skin, I assumed it would help with small breakouts. Unfortunately it didn't exactly help and saw no improvements. What I did like was the light fresh scent, the effective removal of makeup and also how my skin did not feel tight or dry afterwards. So all in all while it didn't really help acne or breakouts, it was a nice cleanser and I would still use it for other purposes.

Of the three Vichy products, I was least impressed with the cleanser. I thought the cleanser was mostly foam and no cleanse - I didn't feel all that especially clean after use. Perhaps it was too gentle a cleanser to what I am used to? After all, I rarely get the chance to use high end products. I would reccomend this to a friend however because when combined with the toner and treatment I was very happy with the results almost immediately after completing my skin care routine in the morning. I definitely loved my skin after and people noticed how I "glowed"!

I have used this product before, I always deep cleanse my face to clear up my skin of any pores and imperfections. It really got my skin very clean and made it shine.

I found this cleanser quite drying. I do have an oily combination skin type and had breakouts about once a month. It wasn't for me but I think it's a great cleanser for a very oily/acne prone skin.

I wanted to believe that it works well but definitely did not live up to my expectations. I use the Vichy Normaderm Moisturizer and LOVE it so I thought I'd love this product too. I tried, but I can't say I'm impressed at all. It's not better than drug store brands that are half the price.
I was thoroughly disappointed with this cleansing gel.
The only good thing is that it doesn't irritate your skin, but other than that, it's just an average product.

Vichy claims to be the #1 in skincare. I don't think that this product measures up to all the ads they spent trying to prove that is works so well for oily, imperfect skin. I used it for about 6 months, and I really didn't see that much of an improvement. It is very much, just AN AVERAGE CLEANSER. It does smell nice and is a green nice colour, but I find that they put many chemicals in their list of ingredients. I did buy it on sale, but I would never pay the full price for it. It's not worth it.

Doesn't make my skin oily, and reduces redness.
