I tried this product through the chick advisor review club, and I am happy with the product. I don't think 19.95 is too much to pay-but I do think this product is only as good as the system, which if you buy each product it adds up to about 70 bucks. I think thats fair, especially if you are on a drug store budget but thats definitely high for some.
I like the smell of the gel, and it lathers nicely with just a small amount in your hands. I will be using this for several more weeks before it runs out, so again, price seems fair to me.
Effectivenss wise... I wasn't super impressed. I have combination skin and I do break out occasionally but I didn't feel like this system cleared it up any faster than any other routine I have used. The gel dried out my skin initially until I swiped the toner over my skin-which makes me think the whole system is required. The product claims to not dry out skin, but I definitely felt tightness.
I guess I have mixed feelings. I felt like it did reduce the look of any pimples I had, I just didn't feel like after 5 weeks of use that I saw dramatic results, which I thought I would with the whole system together. This product claims to prevent new imperfections, but just today I got a new flair up of red bumps...
I am giving this 4 out of 5 for effectiveness because I felt like, paired with the rest of the system, that it did well for a drug store product and kept me clear for the most part. Maybe I just have some problem pimples that need more attention that Vichy just can't help with.

I personally didn't think it was all that Deep Cleansing. I have large pores, & i don't think it even did anything to help keep them clean. It seemed like a cheap cleanser & I still had breakouts while using it.

I enjoyed using this cleanser. It left my face feeling clean and has a nice mild scent. It didn't feel harsh on my skin like other acne cleansers. I used this along with my Soniclear and seen a difference in my skin after 4 weeks of use. I also liked the pump to dispense product. I enjoyed using this cleanser.

The cleansing gel has a nice smell and really does apply well. When I applied, my face felt so light and fresh. But soon after, it was the same old oily face. Good for temporary cleaning. and feels very good too. Didn't stay on the face like some other cleansers.

In my case, this cleanser doesn't work since I have sensitive skin and enzema and it made me break out. There is a bit of scent so I'm not sure if this is suitable for those with sensitive skin.

I really like Vichy Normaderm gel. I don't find it harsh on my skin at all. It doesn't a good job getting makeup off.
Easy to use. It hasn't helped my break outs on my chin tho. Thanks again!

I recieved this cleansing gel as part of the product review club and I am absolutely delighted with it! Vichy products are great, and this one is no exception! I absolutely love the texture, and the nice lather you get with it. It has a nice light scent, which makes me feel clean and refreshed! I would definitely say it's effective, as it leaves my skin feeling ultra clean, but not stripped of moisture. I love this product and would definitely recommend it to everyone!

This product smells great, If you dont like perfume smelling facial cleanser I would suggest not getting this. I have sensitive skin and I didnt break out from this nor did it irritate my skin. Its not my fav product but I dont mind using it.

I love the cleansing purifying gel! When you pump it into your hand it turns into soapy foam which I prefer over lotion-type cleansers. It has a nice scent, not too overpowering. I think this really works to help and prevent future breakouts because I've been using it every single day since I received it and have not gotten any pimples. Also, you only need to pump a small amount to use on your whole face so it will last for a while. This is definitely worth the price!

This face wash comes in a big pump bottle. I usually prefer one of those upside down bottles that you just pop open the cap - makes it easier to get all of the face wash. I am nowhere near the bottom of this bottle, but I fear that once I reach the bottom I might miss some of the product because of the pump. We'll see I suppose!
This face wash is well portioned - one pump does it. One pump is enough to wash my whole face and neck, as well as wash off my non-waterproof mascara. I have used this face wash every evening for four weeks now (I don't wash my face in the morning, just splash it with water and apply moisturizer). Every evening I have washed my eye makeup off with this face wash. It has not irritated my (usually quite sensitive) eyes. Huge bonus!! The product itself is indeed a light, transparent shade of green. It is not smelly - I do not notice any scent with it when I wash my face. This is a huge plus for me. It lathers well and rinses off very nicely - it does not seem to leave a waxy residue on my skin like some drug store brands seem to. It did leave my skin feeling a little bit tight, but I used the toner and the moisturizer afterwards which resolved that issue.
Results? I started with a few pimples. I get hormonal breakouts - and this month I didn't! Within about five-seven days all of my pimples cleared up, and I have had PERFECT skin ever since. I don't credit the face wash alone, I used the whole line, but wow!
Overall, this is a very nice face wash. It is a great splurge item or the set would make a great gift. But will I be re-purchasing for $19.95 after this bottle is gone? Probably not - money is tight right now and I think my drug store brand face wash will have to do. But if I received it as a gift, I'd be thrilled!
