Easy to use but needs more options on app

The voila app is so easy to use. It has options that other online grocery apps don’t have like adding all my favourites to my grocery order with just one tap. And it’s easy to remove or add/adjust items. But …

For example with Granny Smith apples the app selects a 3 count so if you want 6 then you only have to tap twice. This is convenient if you want your apples in a multiple of 3. But I usually buy 7 so we have one a day for the week. So this is convenient that I don’t have the tap the button for every single apple but it’s also limiting. And there is no spot to make a note saying “please add one more apple”

I usually need to make adjustments on my online orders or make notes on certain items. Certain items I don’t want substitutions and I can’t find any spots to say no substitution on a single item or the whole order. I also like to make a Thank You note on my orders and there is no spot of this.

My groceries were packed in paper bags and even offered to unload the paper bag into my containers but it was raining and I didn’t want the employees to be getting even more wet transferring. And paper bags are so much easier to recycle than plastic.

Overall I enjoyed using the Voila app but it needs to have more options added for me to be able to use it for more that just special items that maybe I can’t get anywhere else.

My Safeway that I picked up at had excellent quality of produce and the substitutions that I received works out great. I really like that I could text the phone number with what stall I was parked in and what my order number was and they just came out. Very effective and time saving.

Quick, easy grocery shopping!

Voila was very easy to use and had great service. Only one item was out of stock and they replaced it with a similar item and then confirmed with us that it was okay before they gave us our groceries. Was contactless, easy and will use again!

So Convenient!

The main reason anyone uses a grocery pick up service is for convenience. Well this one was amazing! My order was ready on time and only had 1 substitution. Everything was bagged perfectly and nicely. The guy that brought my groceries out was really nice and even asked about how I heard of Voila and how I liked it. Here's a tip. Depending on when you want to pick up your groceries there is a fee. To avoid a fee, pick a time during Mon-Thurs and in the morning. My pick up was free!

Experience with Voila

I was accepted to receive a $25 coupon code to try the new Voila curbside pick up with Safeway. We ordered our normal for what we select of groceries which includes: meat, fruit, vegetables, some snack foods, and canned items. The pricing was a little higher than what we normally get with Walmart curbside. The website was easy to use and find the items I wanted to add to the cart. I found it interesting that in certain time slots you would have to pay to pick it up at that time. I assume that it’s during busier times but I just found it a little off putting that I would need to pay an extra fee for those times. Checking out was straightforward much like any other site you purchase from. We went and parked in the dedicated spot in our time slot and called the number listed to wait for an attendant to bring our groceries. We waited for about 10 minutes and then the lady loaded the groceries in our vehicle. She was very friendly and that part was enjoyable. When we unloaded our groceries at home we had everything we ordered and everything looked okay. A couple days later though our lettuce was spoiled even though the date was still several days from the time it spoiled. Now I don’t blame the service for this but this is just one of the downsides of someone else picking out your groceries. The biggest thing I would say I disliked was that days later after I had already picked up my groceries I looked at my bank account and there was a credit and a withdrawal in my account from voila/Safeway in a larger amount then I put through on the site. I’ve used Walmart before and they have done this as well however it’s because if something goes on sale they credit you money not take money away. This service took additional money and I have no explanation for why. The best thing about the service is the convenience and the friendly staff. I personally will not be switching to voila by Safeway. I do appreciate the opportunity to try the service though!

We decided to try Voila after basketball the other night . We were impressed with the quality of the product they picked out for us :) they even took a dented box into consideration when packing them up!!
We will be using this service again!! The girl that brought it out to the vehicle was super friendly as well :) Thank you!!

Fantastic

I completely forgot to take pictures , so sorry ! I was SO impressed with just how quick and easy this was ! Found what I needed & Voila , it was ready very quickly , time slot scheduled & then I picked it up ! You get there , text or call the number on the parking sign . SO simple !! The girl who brought it out was amazing , so sweet & polite ! It will bring me back to do this again & again ! So much time saved ! Thank you so very much !

Quick and easy grocery pickup with no strange subs

The online ordering system was easy to use and I liked that you are able to sort by sale items. There were no weird subsitutions. I was concerned there may be subsitutions that I didn't want (there is no option to select if you want them or not), but the chat I had with customer service online assured me that if I didn't want the subsitutions I could refuse them at time of pickup. 2 items were not in stock and one was appropriately subsituted with an item that was the same brand/flavor but in a different format (ice cream sandwiches instead of bars). In the past I have avoided grocery pickup because I thought it cost more money, and I was afraid of getting some weird subsitutions. However, I didn't order any produce (mostly pantry and frozen sale items) since I am quite picky when it comes to produce in general. Overall, great experience!

Quick, friendly, convenient

I am sufficiently happy with trying this service.
It was disappointing that delivery was only in Ontario, but thar may come with once this service grows popularity. Searching for items was a bit difficult, eventually I found everything I wanted.
I liked that I could go back and add items to the order until the evening before pickup date. I'm not sure about having to go through the while checkout procedure for every change in order; but it does state clearly only being charged one time after order is picked up.

Easy to navigate website, quick checkout and your order is saved until next time if you don't place your order right away. Minimal effort and minimal extra cost for maximum convenience.

Fantastic experience!

Wow!! What a great experience with Voila by Sobeys . Ordered online which was a breeze.. very user friendly. Picked a pick up time for 8pm, I Parked and texted and was greeted almost immediately by a very cheerful person who confirmed my name and order and went over my substitutions. She thanked me for using Voila and then proceeded to my trunk to start unloading my groceries. I mentioned I had my own bags and she took mine and re bagged them in.
She advised me that if I had any issues or my food was not top notch to make sure and return for a full refund.
My produce was fresh and delicious.
I will definitely be using this service again.
