Safeway flyer is different than Voila flyer

While I appreciate being gifted a voucher to use to try this service, I was not very impressed with it. Part of my order was not in stock/ unavailable. The other part of my order was substituted for other products that were more expensive. When I called customer service at Safeway, I was directed to call Voila. So I did & was advised that the Safeway flyer is different than the Voila flyer. So just watch your prices because if it isn’t in the Voila flyer, the price could be different. Other than that, the lady who picked my order and brought it out to my vehicle was nice, professional and packed everything up for me which I appreciate.

Very easy process

I used this service for the first time and it was pretty good, I didn't have any substitutions and the fruits and vegetables that were picked are the same that I would pick for myself. It was ready on time and was a simple pick up process. The only thing I didn't like and wish I would have known is the Air Miles offers that are offered in store (in the flyer) or through their My Offers program do not apply to these purchases. Only the 1 air mile per $20 unfortunately. I also didn't like the bags, they charge you for bags automatically - they did ask me if I wanted to switch the items from the paper bags to my reusable bags, but it was freezing outside and busy so I felt obligated to take the bags. I also think I would have been charged regardless. Other than that it was a good experience.

So Covenient & Easy

This was such a convenient way to do my shopping. The other grocery stores are either far away or don't have curb side pick up that charges a lot for delivery. I have a neuromuscular autoimmune disease & on immunosupressants so very susceptible to any bug, including COVID, so I've been doing all my shopping online and either having someone pick it up from the store that is very far from us or having it delivered from a closer one that charged a lot for delivery. Voila from Sobeys is near by and doesn't have expensive extra charges. My mother picked them up for me, and she realized she forgot her grocery bags (mandated here, no plastic) but when she got there they had everything packed into paper bags for us (I love having extra paper bags, especially at Christmas time. I did a lot of Christmas shopping on this order because this is my last big pay cheque before Christmas, so I don't have any meals to show you, but I'm so so please that this service is here now & so close and helpful. I can't express how helpful this will be for me, a disabled person with mobility issues and a weakened immune system. Thank you so much Voila & Sobeys for this great opportunity!

Voila Safeway Pick Up Service

It was easy to make an account, and easy to use the website to choose my products. I didn’t find it very different from other pick up devices, except that there was a fee to pick pick up, even with a minimum purchase. It took about 7 minutes to get my order once I pulled up. There was one item unavailable, and one substitution made. It is a convenient service.

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy!

I have never used a curbside grocery service, I was skeptical, especially because I do love grocery shopping. Trying Voila by Safeway has definitely changed my thoughts on that.
Calgary was expecting it's first real snow of the year and I knew heading out for groceries would be no fun at all. I really wanted to make soup but didn't have all the ingredients.
Tuesday night before bed I logged on to the Safeway Viola site and ordered what I needed. Less than 24 hours later I pulled into the Safeway parking lot, called the number provided and in no time at all the groceries were in my trunk!
The nice guy who brought the bags out - verified the replacement they had to make on the carrots I requested and away I went. When I got home and was unpacking I noticed I was missing one green pepper and the raspberries were a little funky. I emailed Voila with my concerns and was refunded for those items the next day. And because they replaced the carrots I ordered and they didn't have with organic carrots - they also refunded the difference in price, without me mentioning it.
The rest of the food I ordered was correct, fresh and exactly what I would have picked for myself.
This service is exactly what I need especially as we jump in December and all the busyness that's to come.

Impressive!!

With a hectic schedule sometimes doing a simple errand as shopping is not easy!!
First time using the “ viola app” and ever so impressed!!
The app was extremely easy to use and the quick prompt service from the young gentleman bringing out the bags..made everything fantabulous!!
Absolutely loved how he explained the few changes that were made..even though I received that through a message..
A stranger caring you receive the best quality of foods in your order..
He also took the time to load the grocery bags into the vehicle as if it were his own!!
After applying the discount code was quite happy with the final cost!!
Highly recommend this app if you want to save time n receive great quality food!!

Amazing!!

This was the first time using curbside pick up and all I can say was AMAZING! Great quality of foods that they picked, easy to use the website - make changes to the order, save information, easy to find the foods I was wanting, friendly staff when putting it in the vehicle. It was a great experience and way easier than I had thought. I will for sure be doing this more often. As a mom of 3 young kids why did I not start doing this sooner!! Loved it.

Voila! No supermarket hustle for me!

I tried Voila by Sobeys and was very happy with my experience. They didn't have all items I ordered but made a solid substitution on one and refunded the other. When I picked up my order I waited 10 minutes despite it being evening and not busy at the store. This is the one thing they can improve in my opinion. The young lady who delivered my groceries to my car was polite and careful with my bags. She offered to swap them into my cloth bags and was careful to note for me where the eggs were. When I got home I was missing my bananas and had someone else's bread. I was contacted by Voila as they realized the mix up as soon as I left. They refunded my bananas and told me to enjoy the bread. Solid 5 star service if the wait time could be trimmed a little. Will definitely use again.

Site needs work. Hard to find regular items.

I am an online shopper and have been since before the pandemic. I live Sobeys so was excited to try Voila but unfortunately getting the items I regularly find in store was difficult and not worth the effort. If I have to go in for some things I may as well go in for all.

Great service wow

This was great and so easy to do with my kids in the car. Select from home and then pick up. Don’t have to drag two kids around the store and find everything. Time saver :)
