Boutiques & Malls Reviews

"The Mall" is this mystical place where every teenage dream comes true:  meeting friends at The Mall, seeing a movie with a new boyfriend at The Mall, shopping for prom dresses at The Mall... One-stop shopping is only one of the many reasons we're drawn to these indoor and outdoor modern-day bazaars like moths to the flame.

As much as we love the reliability of finding our favourite brands on the ubiquitous mall directory boards, other shopping aficionados live for the hunt of the next great boutique.  Independent hat makers, curated dress boutiques, and only-found-here lingerie locales are the treasures that tempt these supporters of the local economy.  Expense, justified.

Risque

1 review

Last night I met someone at a party who had the most fabulous white belt that wraps around and ties and I of course had to ask her where she got it. She told me about Risque, on Bloor St. West in the Annex and I had to visit immediately. I'm so glad I checked this place out...

Not only does this store NOT have nice clothing, but they have clothes that other stores sell for cheaper but they just put a higher price tag on them and the "upper class" people shop here just for the brand name lol . These are standard clothes you wear if you spend your...
Cato

Cato is a good-value clothing and accessories store. I like to shop for clothes based on if I like the style and how much it costs. I don't shop exclusively according to brand names because in my opinion, in the grand scheme of things, who cares?! Of course, it is nice to...
The Optic Zone

I have to agree with MissChickie, this place is awesome. A friend of mine introduced me to Optic Zone a couple of years ago and I have been going there ever since for my vision needs. Their prices are unbeatable with contact lenses as well. Definitely give this place a try!

while I agree with the other two reviewers that the merchandise is quite hip and trendy, and the prices are extremely reasonable, I have so many reservations against the services. Firstly: I bought one of their funky orange swivel chairs and the chair arrives missing pieces...

Wow - this has to be the coolest furniture store I've ever been in. It is located on 254 King St. E, along with a string of other fabulous furniture stores. I have to say though, that this was my favorite store on the strip. They have the coolest selection and there was not...

I ordered multiple sweaters during the holiday online and was excited to wear them out. Upon receiving it I was thoroughly dissapointed. The quality of the sweaters were not good. It was made very poorly yet price was expensive. Will not purchase again
Old Navy (St Vital Centre)

I had to give Old Navy a passing grade because the rating system doesn't have a button for "meh". I like it for wardrobe basics, but generally find they cater to people under 25. As a 30-something mom, I have a hard time finding clothes here that fit and are appropriate for my...

I discovered this place about a year ago. Nice little boutique on Queen St. The clothings are pretty trendy and price is reasonable. I've got nice compliments on my tops purchased from that store. One thing I don't like is that they only have 2 change rooms, which means a...

Cheap clothes, and the owner's mother who is frequently there is absolutely godawful...yellow hair and brown teeth with a rotten personality to match. Rude to customers, rude to her employees. Sad, sad, sad.

Terrible store that lies to you. My wife and I asked about the return policy before making a purchase and were told that, after asking the manager, we could return the item within 7 days. I went back to return the item within the 7 days and was told that I could not return it...

I am really impressed with this store. I came in here looking for products to add to the swag bags for the ChickAdvisor Queen St. Shop Crawl and found exactly what I was looking for. I needed to buy 50 small sized reasonably priced products and found that other stores didn't...

This store is located in the heart of the Byward Market on William St. It is a very cute store and it has a great selection of jewelry, purses, hair accessories, etc. The prices are ok and I don't think I have ever seen a sale in there. But it is my favourite place to shop...

I don't fit into the "normal bra stores" so I have to find alternatives which is usually more $$. This store is moderately priced, most of their bras are around $60, but they have sales often, and I usually get a 2-3 bras for around $100 with their sales. Quality wise-they...
