Boutiques & Malls Reviews

"The Mall" is this mystical place where every teenage dream comes true:  meeting friends at The Mall, seeing a movie with a new boyfriend at The Mall, shopping for prom dresses at The Mall... One-stop shopping is only one of the many reasons we're drawn to these indoor and outdoor modern-day bazaars like moths to the flame.

As much as we love the reliability of finding our favourite brands on the ubiquitous mall directory boards, other shopping aficionados live for the hunt of the next great boutique.  Independent hat makers, curated dress boutiques, and only-found-here lingerie locales are the treasures that tempt these supporters of the local economy.  Expense, justified.

Lotuswear - Vancouver

I had first heard about Lotuswear on the Last 10 Pounds Bootcamp on the Slice channel. In most of the episodes, the participants would be working out in Lotuswear clothing. I researched the line to see where I could find it. I discovered that sadly it was only available in B.C...
One Tooth Yoga Apparel

Thanks MizzRobin for valuing my thoughts about One Tooth! I agree, when I first walked in, I was also quite confused because many of the clothes are very similar to that of lululemon. Nonetheless, what drew me in was that they did have some designs that I hadn't seen...
Mimosa Accessories

I also had the pleasure of shopping at Mimosa on Robson Street. They have plenty of super-cute stuff and it's a store that is affordable. I was able to find a ton of very nice earrings for my sensitive ears (I am allergic to nickel and most costume earrings). If you are in...

Ok, so first of all how cute were these owners! They had a great platter of dips and spreads out just for the shop crawlers and even asked if we wanted any drinks! Best recommendation.... glass skull candle for Halloween or just anytime in particular, also art that sticks to...

On Sept. 6th, I made a very unwise purchase following an appointment at my oncologist's office. It was an emotional decision that I made in the moment due to my state of mind. Upon returning home (3 hours away) I realized this was a bad decision. I was in the middle of...

American Apparel

Although the items can be a bit pricey, they are worth it, considering the fact that the clothes are not made in sweatshops and the quality is long lasting. The skirts and t shirts are my favourites but they have a lot of cute basics that can be mixed with pieces that I already...

American Apparel - NEW

I have never been a huge fan of this store. I like that they offer a range of colors when it comes to clothing but I find for basic pieces you end up paying a lot of money for a simple t shirt. This store is very take it or leave it for me. If i am looking for an item in a...

Las Palmas Boutique

I was on a buisness trip. We stopped in between flights and I had a meeting that I probably would be late for if I was going to get my hair done in the city so I did it then. They were in a rush, not so nice but I still got my hair done. Could have been better.

Very pricey mall--a lot of expensive stores (Juicy Couture, Ruehl, Tiffany's, etc.) but it's in a gorgeous outdoor setting, with several very good restaurants. It's a beautiful place to shop, would recommend to anyone.
The Grove

I love the Grove! It's got a ton of parking, some pretty good shops, and a lovely outdoor setting. It's the perfect place to catch dinner and a movie--although prices are not the best, they're not the worst either. Very beautiful at night.
