I got food poisoning at the Brownstone Bistro & Bar...and I was 7 months pregnant!!!!! I will NEVER eat there again, and I will continue to tell everyone I ever meet about my experience there. Disgraceful. I have never been so scared in my life. Traumatizing. Stay away!!!!!!!

I've been to the Brownstone a couple of times. What I love about it is the ambiance. It's so cosy with candles shoved into wine bottles, big windows with pulled back velvet curtains, tables closer together and comforting cheerful colours. I come here with a few girl friends every now and then and I noticed on our last visit a few tables with groups of women just like us. It seems to be popular destination.

The menu selection is decent with reasonably healthy options. The warm goat cheese salad is quite good, and the sangria is delicious. The service was lacking on both occasions where we waited quite a while to pay, but aside from that we really enjoyed it.

I would recommend this for a casual date, with a group of girlfriends or anyone you love to spend time with.
