PanOxyl’s PM Overnight Spot Patches are a simple but surprisingly effective solution for dealing with surface-level breakouts. These hydrocolloid patches don’t contain any active acne ingredients — instead, they work by drawing out pus and excess fluid while protecting the blemish overnight.
The absorption power is impressive. By morning, the patch usually shows visible “gunk,” and the pimple looks flatter and less inflamed. They also stick extremely well, even through a full night of sleep, and the two different sizes make it easy to match the patch to the blemish. Another big plus: they’re gentle, fragrance-free, and suitable for sensitive skin.
The patches are slightly thicker than some of the ultra-thin competitors, which means they aren’t the most invisible option. A few patches can also be tricky to peel off the backing. And while they’re great for whiteheads and active pimples, they won’t do much for deep, cystic acne under the skin.
If you deal with occasional whiteheads or want something to prevent picking (and therefore reduce scarring), these are a great, affordable choice. They consistently flatten pimples overnight and are a reliable basic to keep in your skincare stash. Not a miracle worker for deep acne, but excellent for what they’re designed to do.
