As an avid drinker of protein shakes, I was excited to receive this product for review purpose. For the past 15 months, I've made protein shakes regularly for breakfast each morning. That is, until a week and half ago when my husband went on cruise with out friends to celebrate both turning 40 this year. After a week of endless food options and chef-prepared meals, it was hard to go back to a strict routine of morning work outs and shakes. So this trial of Carnation's new Breakfast Essentials came just at the right time.
Available in a variety of flavours, this product comes in convenient individual packages allow you to make a drink in seconds. I received the Chocolate version for testing and it was delicious! Unlike my regular protein mix, there was no weird after-taste that you typically get with drinks made with whey. Instead, it tasted just like a regular chocolate milk. It also heated up well to make a delicious hot chocolate (I heated 8 oz of milk first in my microwave, then added the powder to the already heated milk so not to destroy any of the nutritional properties of the drink).
While the Carnation version did have slightly higher calorie intake (300 calories when prepared with milk as opposed to my regular protein mix which has 260 calories, prepared with water), the flavour was so significantly better, that it was definitely worth the extra intake. The protein factor was also less than my regular morning shake (15 grams when prepared with milk, as opposed to my regular protein mix which has 24 grams, prepared with water); however, it was enough to satiate me until noon and provided necessary energy for my morning work out.
Since most people do not drink protein shakes regularly for breakfast, I also compared this with Shreddies (a heathy whole grain wheat cereal that is popular in Canada) to provide an overview of the nutritional breakdown.
Both breakfast options had the same fat intake of 1 g. Unprepared (without milk), Carnation had slightly higher protein (7 g vs 5 g), less sodium (115 mg vs 200 mg), more sugar (21 g vs 13 g), but less carbohydrates overall (30 g vs 47 g). Where Carnation stood out was with its vitamin content. A 8 oz Carnation drink unprepared (without milk), provided 50% of vitamin A intake (vs 0%), 50 vitamin C intake (vs 0%), 20% calcium (vs 2%), and 60% riboflavin (vs 2%).
Overall, a pretty health breakfast choice that would be big hit with adults and children alike. At a price point of $7.99 for 10 drinks, it is much cheaper than my $57 can of protein. I highly recommend this drink and will definitely be purchasing this the next time I go grocery shopping for my family of five!

These peel pads are great, although container itself is nothing to write home about.
It’s your basic white plastic container with a twist lid. The silver colouring helps tie in the packaging with other items in this brand line; however, the lid itself feels flimsy and not as durable as L'Oréal’s other Bright Reveal products. I feel like the lid would easily crack if dropped (which happens frequently at my house). Although technically-speaking, the container only needs to last a month (each jar contains 30 pads). Besides, it is what’s inside that matters most, right?
Each white jar is filled with multi-ply textured pads that have a subtle scent, which is sweet and citrus-y and makes me look forward to using them. Due to sunlight sensitivity after use, they suggest you use these at bedtime rather than as a morning routine. So every evening, I swipe a pad across my face to pick up any excess oil and dirt.
The pads are gentle and effective. While I do wish the pads were slightly more saturated, there seems to be just enough product on each pad to cover my full face. The product has a slightly tacky residue as product dries, but this is temporary. Once dry, my face feels fully prepped for the Revitalift overnight moisturizer.
After two weeks of continued use, I have noticed better tone and my skin definitely seems brighter and more radiant. I would purchase this product again when on sale or with a coupon. At it’s MSRP, I would opt for a pad that is a little more saturated.

This lotion comes in a basic one-ounce container with a lid that you’ll lose within a week. ;) But it serves its purpose, dispending the exact right amount of lotion. With each pump, you get enough product to cover your face and neck so a little goes a long way.
This lotion surprised me. I am usually very picky when it comes to moisturizers. They need to be light, but not too light. They need to feel moisturizing, but at the same time be completely absorbent without leaving any trace of film or tackiness. And ideally, they need to provide UV protection.
This moisturizer accomplishes all three.
L'Oréal Revitalift Bright Reveal day lotion feels fresh and smells fresh, with a slight orange/citrus-y smell. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and super moisturized, which is surprising since most SPF lotions seem to have that same zinc-y heavy texture that doesn't quite blend. Not this one. It feels light, absorbs well, and leaves my face feeling clean and moisturized. I will definitely be buying this product again once I run out.

I started doing bench press last week and pulled a muscle in my back. Robax ThermaCare heat wrap offered much needed release. I had tried a warm compress the night before but this product was better as it stayed in place and offered much targeted relief exactly where I was experiencing pain. I will definitely be purchasing these in the future. For me, Robax is synonymous with muscle pain relief as its the only brand I will use when experiencing pain. -

Dove® Regenerative Nourishment Serum-In-Oil:
is great for repairing damaged ends
leaves hair feeling soft and silky
makes hair looks shiny and well nourished (especially when used just before flat-ironing)
provides a professional-quality treatment
immediately absorbs into hair
does not leave hands feeling greasy after application
smooths flyaway or damaged ends
At an average price point of $11.99, this Nourishment Serum-In-Oil is an exceptional value. A couple drops was all that was needed to immediately restore the health of my hair.
Tip: Apply some throughout your hair before blow drying. As the oil heats up from the blow dryer it distributes more evenly throughout and improves the saturation into the hair.

According to CoverGirl, CoverGirl + Olay Simply Ageless 3-In-1 Liquid Foundation instantly reduces wrinkles, evens skin tone and delivers firming hydration.
How to Use: This foundation comes in an easy-to-use pump bottle. Per the instructions --which I normally discard but read for the purpose of this review-- you should dispense 1-2 pumps worth of liquid onto fingers or applicator sponge. Dot a small amount onto your forehead and cheeks. Then spread evenly over your face, making sure to blend carefully around your hairline and jawline.
The Good: This product goes on smoothly, blends well, and is light weight and is easy to apply. It is light and creamy (feels silky smooth!), non-comodegenic and covers well, providing good pigmentation and a natural-looking matte finish.
I love that this foundation contains Olay moisturizers. The sample I received was a touch too pink for my complexion, however, because it was so blendable, it still worked for me as it allowed my freckles to come through and still appear natural. While age spots were also still visible, overall tone was improved and I found that adding a little more foundation over specific spots allowed for targeted coverage and helped diminish them.
The So-So: While I didn't notice the promised firming action, this foundation definitely hydrated with plumping moisture. Due to its moisturizing properties, it feels somewhat slippery; however, this same attribute is what makes it blendable and the foundation sets within seconds. The addition of Olay also means this product has a light scent, but it is subtle and quite pleasant. I normally choose unscented products at the store (as I have sensitive skin), but this product did not irritate my skin in any way and was in fact quite gentle.
Bottom line: Overall, a nice everyday foundation at a good price point. I would buy this again and recommend it to anyone with dry, aging, or sensitive skin.

This toothbrush is great, not only is it a spin brush, but it easily reaches the back of your mouth and gets into all the unreachable areas of your mouth.
The Spinbrush™ Truly Radiant™ Electric Toothbrush does a great job getting my teeth clean by really getting between teeth. I love the spin and motion of the bristles. Every morning, my teeth feel like I just had a professional cleaning. They are shiny and ultra clean and after three weeks of use, my teeth truly seem whiter.
I love the ease and efficiency of this model. It is very powerful and after a month of using this tooth brush twice day, it has not lost any of its power. I can't tell you how many battery operated toothbrushes I've owned that die before it's time to change! The fact that it uses AA batteries is also nice. I have had ones that you have to plug in and sometimes a battery is just easier.
All in all, I highly recommend this product! Everything has held up beyond my expectations. I will be sticking with the Arm and Hammer Spin Brush and don’t think I can't go back to a regular toothbrush ever again.
