Although its price tag makes it a bit of a splurge, I thought it was definitely worth it. I figure, if you're going to cheap out on anything, it shouldn't be the things you put into your body. I would totally buy it again. Really great treat.

This product is effective at creating a great base for your makeup. It feels silky smooth once applied and mineral makeup sits nicely on top of it. It does help to prevent clumping and maintain a smooth complexion throughout the day.
BUT, I rated this product as below average because it evaporates really quickly. I purchased this product roughly a year ago and was pretty shocked to discover how quickly it evaporates. It has now taken on a thick, jelly-like consistency. Given its price tag*, it's definitely not worth the money if it's going to disappear if you don't glop it on, so as to use it up within the first few months. There are way better make-up primers out there.

I purchased the Bellapierre Mineral Blush in the Desert Rose colour last summer. I wear it daily and it'll probably last me another 3 months or so. So, in terms of quantity for money, it's a good product.
However, the reason I wish it would hurry up and run out so I can never buy it again is because it is way too much hassle. Similar to what I said in my review on the Bellapierre 9-Stack Powder, it looks nice once it's on your face, but the application is a disaster. I have to store this blush in a ziploc bag inside of my makeup case because it seeps out everywhere. The inside of my black makeup bag turned pinkish and I have to wipe down the bathroom counter every time I put on this blush because powder falls out just by twisting the blush open. Also, way too much comes out into the lid because the holes are too big.
My overall impression of Bellapierre is that they're on to something in terms of good products, but they need to revamp their packaging if they ever expect more people to use their products.

My overall impression of this product is that it looks nice once it's on your face, but prepare for messy makeup application.
As is pretty clear from the pics, the 9 powders are stacked one on top of the other and you twist them apart at whichever colour you want to use. I'll give them credit for having unique packaging but, from a practical perspective, it creates a colourful disaster in your makeup bag and on your counter. This is because the powder doesn't just stay put, but seeps out, so when you twist it open, powder falls all over the place.
That said - even though a lot of powder is lost on your counter, sink and in your bag - it still lasts a long time. I received the 9 stack (the Serenity colour palette) as a gift 2 or 3 years ago and it is still not even close to being finished.
The beauty of the powders are that they are light and mineral-based. I use the lighter colours on my eyes and, for evenings, apply the dark purple or dark grey to the outer parts of my lash line with an angle brush. I also use it as a blush. I apply the light pink to the tops of my cheek bones and the darker pink as a blush. It looks really good.
A final note about how to purchase the product. DO NOT PAY FULL PRICE. Bella Pierre is sold in those booths in the middle of the mall. Every time I have purchased any of their products (I've also tried the Mineral Blush in Desert Rose, Mineral Powder, Vanilla Bean Lip Balm and the Make-up Primer), the salesperson drops the price considerably. This has happened several times at the Yorkdale booth and each time the salesperson tells me that they're the manager and that they are giving me a special discount but, because it keeps happening and because it's hard to believe that every employee is the manager, I'm convinced they're selling their products at a large markup.

This product is fantastic! I was using a spray protectant before trying Smooth Down and found that I had to go over my hair about 2 or 3 times with my straightener before it was actually styled the way I liked it. Now I just do a once over and my hair is not frizzy at all.
It's a heavy product, so you only need to apply 1-2 pumps while your hair is wet. I don't style my hair any differently than I did before I started using this product, but find that it looks quite a bit smoother now.
I bought my bottle over a year ago and it's just less than half full. I think it's definitely good quality for your money.

My hair is naturally very curly, but I usually wear it either straight or wavy, and I colour it often. So it gets really dry and damaged. This product has been a lifesaver for me.
I started using it about 1.5 years ago on the recommendation of my stylist. She suggested using it as an intesive treatment for certain spots that are really dry or (how I use it) as an all over treatment by applying it evenly throughout your hair while it's wet.
My hair has gotten so healthy and shiny as a result. I barely have any split ends and my hair is so thick. I am VERY HAPPY with this product and highly recommend it.
I haven't tried the other products from the Joico K-Pak line, but was just reading some good reviews about them today so think that I will at least give the shampoo and conditioner a try to see if that will amplify the results I'm getting from just using the reconstructor.

I have been using ProActiv for a few years. I actually started using it before it was available in Canada and had to be ordered from the US, so ProActiv and I have some history. I have never had really bad acne, but have always had pimples popping up on some part of my face at all times. ProActiv has been really helpful at controlling my breakouts.
Both my sister and I use it and have both been happy with it. I still generally have a few pimples on my face, but I have a tendency to touch pimples and blackheads, so blame their existence on my face on myself and not on the effectiveness of ProActiv.
I use the 4 piece kit. I use the mask as a spot treatment while I'm asleep, but it's not amazing. Green tea treatments or even toothpaste probably do the trick better. But, because I use the cleanser, toner and cream, I use the mask as my spot treatment so I'm not using too many different types of chemicals on my face.
I had heard some negative reviews about the main chemical ingredient in ProActiv, claiming that it was overly harsh. So I took the bottles into my doctor and showed her the ingredients. She said that nothing stood out as being a problem. The only concern I have with this product is that your skin becomes reliant upon it and I think that, when I stop using it, I will have to slowly transition to a new product to avoid serious breakouts during the transition.

I am pretty impressed with this product. The makeup is all high quality (typical of Cargo), but comes in smaller quantities than if you were to buy each of the 7 products on their own. I actually prefer the mini-size because I normally get tired of using products before they run out, but don't like tossing them until they're finished.
I especially like the Classic Lip Gloss and Blush because the colours are fantastic and give you a really nice and natural glow. I don't use the Reverse Lip Liner partly because I normally just wear gloss and partly because even normal lipliner doesn't appeal to me, so I would personally cut that out of the kit. I also don't think that the Concealer Foundation in One does the job of full coverage, but I really like mineral makeup, so I continue to use that in addition to this kit.
Overall, getting all 7 products for $40 is really good value for your money and, inevitably, there will be pieces of any kit that don't suit everyone. I also think that this would be great to take traveling since it's light, both in terms of weight of the kit in your suitcase and weight of the makeup on your face (key concern for hot destinations).
Note that I am using the Light Medium kit. It also comes in Warm Medium and Dark Medium.
