I have come to realize that I review alot of facial cleansers on here, but I find that that's one of my biggest struggles, finding the perfect facial cleanser.
Usually, my skin is pretty dry, not overly dry, but usually need to focus on alot of the moisturizing facial cleansers because everything else just dries out my face! But for the last few months I've been working at a restaurant and have found that my skin is alot oiler than usual, so I went to the body shop and picked up the seaweed purifying facial cleanser, seaweed purifying moisturizer and the seaweed face mask and have found a new love. The facial wash is extremely soft, almost feels like satin on your skin, it doesn't have the greatest lather, but spreads out nicely and you only need the smallest amount. Even before using the moisturizer my skin feels very soft and fresh. The moisturizer is almost like a gel, it feels great and is very refreshing and keeps my skin soft and smooth all day. I use the seaweed mask once a week just to clear my pores and get rid of any dead skin, and believe me when I say it does wonders! although if you decide to use it, make sure you don't leave it on for too long, 10 minutes max! and make sure you apply a nice thin and even layer and have I mentioned how great it smells?? Because it's absolutely devine!
My only real complaint is that none of this stuff comes with directions. So if you do decide to purchase any face washes or moisturizers from the body shop, check with the sales associate about directions!
I know it's not rocket science, but sometimes it's good to know :)

I've been dying to try this shampoo and conditioner for a while now. I feel like when it comes to Aveeno they have never steered me wrong. I have forever used their products, face washes, body washes and body lotions (again, they are kind of pricey) but totally worth it.
So I have been finding that this summer weather has been really tough on my hair. My hair is very thick and naturally curly and with all the humidity we have been having, it just adds extra frizz to my hair and really dries it out.
Last week I went to our local Walmart and discovered that the Aveeno shampoo and conditioner was on sale so I thought I should give it a shot and I absolutely do not regret it. Even after the first wash I could notice a difference in my hair, it already started to feel alot smoother and softer. The bottle promises results by the third wash, which is a well kept promise. I used it again today for the third time and it cut down the time it usually takes me to straighten my hair by almost half! I was super impressed. I usually find that straightening my hair can be really hard on it and sometimes the end result leaves it feeling rough and very straw like. But I've found today that I just can't stop running my fingers through my hair, and really can't get over how soft and shiny it is. I also found that I don't have to use as much shampoo when I wash my hair because it lathers up really well, a small amount goes a long way and it smells delightful!
I would highly recommend this product to anyone who has "hard to deal with" thick and curly hair. This is a wonderful product, again it can be a little pricey, but when you're comparing it to pantiene pro V or dove, you are only spending a couple extra dollars for a much more reliable product!
money well spent :)

This was the one flavour that I was a little more hesitant about. I'm not usually a huge fan of boring old chocolate ice cream and most of the time, pass on dark chocolate, but I was pleasently surprised with my frist bite. I found this ice cream to be very creamy and smooth, I excpected it to be incredibly rich, but found it to be not so bad, mind you I couldn't eat very much of it as it's incredibly heavy and filling. I think that this was my least favorite out of the three, but for all of you chocolate lovers out there, I would highly recomend it. :) -

This was the second flavour that I tried out of the three and it was one that I was pretty excited for. I thought the ice cream flavour itself was really, really good. I didn't find it too rich and loved the mix of the grahm flavour throughout each bite. And I really liked how it wasn't grahm pieces it was kind of like a ribbon so you pretty much taste it with every spoonfull. I didn't find it as creamy as the cheesecake flavour, but you could really taste the banana, which I thought was really good because I think that when trying to bring out fruit flavours in ice cream it can really be a hit or miss.
Overall, I found it enjoyable. We ate it for dessert one night and everyone seemed to really like it and even asked for seconds :)

So I tried the first of three, the reason I choose it was because I am a huge fan of cheesecake.
At first few bites, you can really taste the cheesecake, but about half way through you kind of stop tasting it and it kind of just tastes like choclate and vanilla..but other than that, I thought the ice cream was really, really good, it was very smoothe and not too rich or sweet. And the best thing I found about it, is because it's so thick, you feel satisfide with just a little bowl. I highly recomend a tub if you are planning on having a small crowd over for dinner and are looking for a simple but good dessert OR you are going through a harsh break up and are looking for some really good comfort food :)

I just bought this a few days ago and was incredibly impressed with how well it actually works. I was nervous at first because when I first put it in my hands to put on my face, it came out a white colour with little black dots in it, but as soon as you begin to spread it on your face it automatically blends in with your skin tone.
It is also very light weight, and doesn't make me look like Edward Scisorhands (which is something i've had an issue with before as I have fairly light skin, some foundations make my face look whiter than it actually is)
So yes, highly recomend this to my fellow peeps, the price is kind of up there, i bought mine at shoppers in a packaged with the smart shade under eye concealer so it was 17.99 but it was well worth it,
it covers up all blemishes and is very smooth.

This mascara is probably one of the best masacaras i have ever used. It goes on smoothly, NO CLUMPS what so ever and somehow manages to coat every lash!
I sometimes tend to have issues with certain mascaras as they make my eyelashes almost look like spider legs, and when i blink it gets everywhere, but this stuff is just right, it makes lashes look fuller and somewhat longer, but also makes them look very natural, i've even had some compliments.
I would definitely recommend this mascara to anyone who seems to experience the same issues that i do.
my eye lashes are already pretty thick and full,but since i'm a red head, they are very light, which is why i wear mascara.
so yes,
highly recomend it, it's a good price for good quality.

I find that when your applying it, it's not as tedious as some mascaras can be. it's quick to apply due to the brush you use, it's very versatile and gets every lash. Another problem i ususally find with mascara is that when i'm appplying i sometimes get it all over my eyelid, but i didn't have this problem with colassal. Also, i really like how natural my lashes feel after i apply the mascara. It doesn't make my lashes feel hard and chunky, they are very soft and natural.
i would recomend this product to anyone, it's a nice casual wear mascara, but can also be used for those glam up nights :)

so I have only been using this product for the last week so I know I should give it a bit more time before reviewing, but thus far I really like it. The smell of it isn't the greatest, but after using the face wash and then the toner, it makes my face feel so incredibly soft and works great as a "before makeup" moisturizer. I have been having alot of problems lately finding "the right" face wash, and have been going through different kinds like crazy. I find with alot of face products, the product will work famously for a bit and then dry out my skin. But I really trust in Aveeno, it's an all natural mix, which inludes soy which is supposed to help even skin tone, and texture, which is another huge problem i have. So I will continue to use it thus far and I will update later if my opinion changes but so far, this stuff seems to be great, and i've already started to noticed a difference. :) -

so i just finished reading the book men are like mocha lattes. This book is about a canadian girl who moves to new zealand for school. The book itself is pretty good, I think it is really well written and I really enjoyed the style of writing as well. It was kind of written like the protaganists journal which kept it pretty interesting. The story follows our protagonist through a bunch of crazy antics of her life and being 30 and single. There are some really good characters that are introdcuced in the story as well as some very funny situtations that the main character finds herself in. The book made me laugh out loud a few times and i also really liked the way the book would jump for present to past sometimes. The writer also refers to alot of popular tv shows, movies and celebraties that everyone can relate too. I also like how the main character is canadian and it is easy to relate to her if you've ever been to another country and know what its like to be international. The only problem i had with the book was that some of the chapters tended to drag on a bit and there were a few things that the writer tendds to go on and on about and they could have been cut short. But other than that, I really enjoyed the book and the story, I recomend this book to anyone who is looking for a very light, refreshing, funny read.
