I received the Boost Just Protein powder for free as part of the Chick Advisor review club. I have used it in my cooking to boost the protein content of low protein meals like pasta and pancakes/waffles. It mixes in easily, provides 6 grams of protein per scoop and is completely flavour free so it doesn't change the taste or texture of meals. Many protein powders have flavour added and are overpowering or have a bad taste but this one does not. I will definitely continue using it and recommend it. -

I received a box of this pasta in fusilli for free as part of the Product Review Club. The included recipe sounded delicious but I didn't have the ingredients on hand so I cooked up these noodles and served them with a hearty meat marinara sauce. My 5 year old was a bit hesitant at first but then cleared out her bowl and my whole family loved this meal. The pasta tastes like traditional wheat pasta and has the same smooth pasta texture. I love that they have "hidden" spinach, kale, parsley, zucchini and broccoli as it nevers hurts to get a few extra veggies in a meal and this was a super easy way to do so. Add in that all ingredients are non-gmo and that a serving has between 15-20% daily value of 6 vitamins and this pasta is a win in my book! -

I received a free box of Smart Veggie spaghetti as part of the Product Review Club. This pasta uses cauliflower and carrots with a 1/2 serving of veggies in every 85g serving of pasta. When I first saw this product I was skeptical that my family and mainly my husband would be impressed. We have tried veggie pasta made with cauliflower before and it felt grainy and tasted like cauliflower, not pasta. In the box was a recipe from ChickAdvisor and so I used this to give the spaghetti a whirl. The recipe instructed the pasta to be cooked directly in the sauce (milk and chicken broth) with meat and veggies added. This pasta cooked up quickly, evenly and nicely in the sauce and within minutes I had a delicious one pot meal on the table. To my delight the noodles are of a smooth, traditional wheat like texture and taste like noodles! My husband was thoroughly impressed, both my older kids gobbled it up without complaint and my entire family was happy with this meal. -

I received this cleansing lotion free as part of the Product Review Club. The All-In-One Cleansing Lotion is very different from the type of facial cleansing products I usually buy. I generally use foaming cleansers or exfoliating scrubs which leave my skin feeling clean but then in need of immediate application of a separate moisturizer. The cleansing lotion is very smooth and easy to apply. It doesn't foam and feels more like applying lotion than scrubing your face. It pretty much just rubs into your skin and it gives an instant moisturizing feel that stays after rinsing. So much so that I didn't feel any rush to apply moisturizer afterwards. As much as I enjoyed trying this product I have yet to decide if I am ready to change from the type of cleansers I am accustomed to but if you are looking for a great moisturizer cleanser than I would 100% recommend this one! -

I received this antiperspirant free as part of the Product Review Club. Nivea claims this product will maintain effectiveness for a full 48 hours. It is a white coloured, solid product. It comes with the relatively standard Nivea cream scent which is mild and pleasant. The container it comes in has a pretty narrow application opening which I thought would be annoying to apply with the plastic edges exposed but it really wasn't at all. It glides on smoothly and the edges of the plastic are also smooth so no irritation. It is surprisingly clear on application and didn't leave any white marks on my clothing. My regular brand is also one with moisturizer in it but I found this one really felt moisturizing instead of just not drying if that makes any sense. I found it to be a reliable antiperspirant and deodorant for about 24 hours at which time I was either showering or reapplying. For me I did not find it was quite as effective at that point as it had been so I'm skeptical it would be very effective at 48 hours. -

I received a tube of this for free as part of the Product Review Club but this lip balm has been around our house for a lot longer than that. My husband brought it home two or so winters ago and I absolutely love it. It comes in a twist up/down tube like lipstick rather than the traditional lip balm tube. I like these style of tubes because I find the others tend to get grime from your pocket or purse around the cap and this style does not. The lip balm is very moisturizing and glides on easily. It is gentle on chapped or tender lips and has a lasting effect through eating or drinking. My favourite thing about it though is that it doesn't feel as though it is melting off your lips and down your chin making it feeling greasy. -

It is a thick cream, very moisturizing but also harder to spread and rub in. I tend to get dry skin on my hands and this cream has been terrific for that! It's also great for elbows, knees and feet. I have combination skin on my face and so prefer to use a lighter lotion but this would be great if you had dry skin on your face. The scent like all the other Nivea products I tried is very mild and pleasant. I will be also trying this cream on my young daughter's eczema this winter to see if it will help keep it at bay. -

I really like these facial cleansing wipes a lot. They come in an easy to open and then resealable package and they are small enough you could toss them in your purse or gym bag to take with you. They have a very, very mild scent that doesn't linger. The sizing of the wipe is generous and while not too moist as to leave your face dripping they stay just wet enough to freshen and wash your entire face, neck and chest if you wish. I even use them on my underarms after working out. I am not 100% sold on the slightly sticky feeling they leave behind but after applying a little face moisturizer I feel good to go. -

Dove bar soap is the only bar I use. I have to wash my hands frequently at my job so when I am home I want to keep them as moisturized as possible. Harsh Canadian winters are so drying on skin that we keep a case of Dove soap in the house and use it at the sink and in the shower. The unscented doesn't have any dyes or fragrances in it so I use it on my older kids because one has some eczema and my littlest if I run out of Dove baby. I find I notice a big difference from using other bar soaps and it keeps my skin feeling softer. -

I love the My Brest Friend pillow for nursing support. It is firm enough to keep baby elevated yet soft enough to be comfortable. The back support and buckle keep the pillow close and prevent it from slipping away with an active baby. This also comes in handy when nursing in unusual positions such as at the table while trying to eat supper. The only con is that it can be a bit awkward to arrange around your body and then get buckled with one hand. Additionally it isn't useful as a baby support pillow when they are learning to sit up like other nursing pillows can be. -
