A great alternative to the higher-end and higher priced fitness clubs in Winnipeg, the Univ. of Manitoba's Frank Kennedy Centre has a lot to offer. Regulation-sized swimming pool, running track, cardio and strength training machines, aerobics classes, racquetball courts, martial arts classes, ice rink, tennis courts - all ages welcome. The facility itself is a little grungy and it isn't always clear where you are supposed to go for certain fitness classes, but the staff is very helpful. Catering mainly to the university traffic, you'd think this place would be a meat market but I was pleasantly surprised (or maybe I'm just not that good looking!). Here's the seller: $115/yr for students and $440/yr for community; special discount pricing for staff, non-U of M students, seniors, alumni, and children. Do I recommend it? You friggin' betcha! -

Dr. Bruce Jensen

Dr Jensen is a nice man and a decent chiropractor. I went to him off and on for a number of years before recently relocating. My new chiropractor uses a different method, and I must say that I actually do prefer my new guy. Dr Jensen didn't spend much time diagnosing my problem or explaining in detail what he was doing to me. Having said that, Dr Jensen always adjusted me really well and my pain was gone after a few treatments.

Dr. Taylor and her associates brought me through 3 pregnancies in one piece. There are at least 6 other obstetricians at the practice, all of whom I have met. Dr. Taylor is definitely one of the best. If I had a complaint it would be that I have always had to wait at least 30 minutes or more in the waiting room, and the appointment itself was always rushrushrush. Still, I would recommend this doctor.

If I had to wear a flat, I guess I would pick these. It reminds me of something Elaine Benes (Seinfeld) would wear with skinny black pants. I really didn't think we'd see either of those styles again, but maybe I'm just out of touch.
