Their topcoat caught my attention. It promises rapid dry salon-quality shine. I like rapid. I like shine.
I timed it - not exactly dry to touch in 45 seconds, more like 100 seconds, but I'm okay with that because it was the best topcoat I've found to date.
My nails were ridiculously shiny. They stayed shiny. For weeks. If you love yourself, you will care for your fingers and toes. Beauty is in the details.
Love it.

I like Bite a lot - not just for it's highly pigmented colours - but because it's food-grade, and shouldn't anything that touches your lips be? And ever since Dr. Oz talked about it, mini-van mommys and yummy mummies have been the reason they're flying off the shelf.
I know what you're wondering now...where in Canada? Why Sephora. Where else, right.

I got turned off my black masks because they seem so gimmicky. Even moreso after Boscia. A year-and-a-half later and it still annoys me that it was annoying to pick that crap off my face.
My favourite mask at this very moment is the same as it was about six months ago, when I hand-delivered it to Greenthumbs, as per his request. It made his face angelic.
So I bought it for myself. It was pricey. But it makes my skin glow. Course I look more like a cherub, but that's because my genes armed with fat cheeks. I'd like to blame my parents, but I can't because their DNA also gave me with babybutt skin. Anyway, I'll tell you what IT is another day. Girl can keep a secret a little while longer.
I can, however, share another great mask. I did it last night. This afternoon my complexion is still very clear and bright.
Origins Clear Improvement uses activated charcoal and white china clay to draw out debris in your pores and absorb environmental toxins, respectively. It sounds so effective - likely because it is. If you read my early posts, you'll remember I love charcoal. I still use this stuff. It's stockpiled in my bathroom vanity.
It's black and goes on smooth, and dries tight, real tight. I could barely move my face. It's annoying to remove with just your hand, so use a wet warm towel to help it along.
My skin looked clean. It felt clean. I wonder how much crap was on my face? Knowing me, a lot. I accumulate crap wherever I go in everything I do.

The idea of an instant nail polish remover is nice. Then I tried a few and realized it's more hypothetical than actual.
Then Sephora released this. They love it because it's dermatologically tested and formulated without parabens, sulfates, phthalates, GMOs, and triclosan. I love it because it smells nice and works like magic.
And it removes any polish, finger after finger.

The bottom line is that it falls in the grey zone. My hair wasn't noticeably different. I did like the masque better than the shampoo, primarily because the shampoo didn't lather as much as I like. I love it when shampoo gets frothy and soapy. This may be too creamy to do that.
It has the same scent as the masque. I didn't like it either way.
A "professional" system or not, I wouldn't recommend it. Pay a little more to Kerastase or Shu Umera your locks, or pay a little less and still get quality at drugstore price.

So, yesterday my sister sent this to my inbox - http://www.kaianaturals.com/product.html - asking whether I had heard of it or knew where to get it. I don't normally like cleansing cloths because I find they pull and tug, and as you all know, my skin is uber sensitive. Kaia promises it's different; a cashmere-like cloth jampacked with vitamins and a cleanser, toner, and makeup remover. Big expectations for such an unassuming product.
Three hours later I was walking home from the groceries while checking out Kaia's website. (Intrigue always leads to sense of immediacy for me.) I clicked to see where they're sold in Toronto and the first place that popped up was Noah's. I looked up and was walking right by one. Like, woah.
I went in and picked up a few to test them out.
I had a lot of eye makeup that day and one Kaia got it all off. The proof was in the cloth. It now carried everything I had on my face and then some.
It delivered everything it promised. Of course I didn't love the smell. Then again, my nose is quite stuck-up.

I can say that I prefered the masque over the shampoo, but all in all, the Intense Repair Cuti Liss system didn't give me enough bang for the buck.
To keep my review as straightforward and helpful to you, the reader, I'll break it down like this.
The hair world has drugstore and salon. Then there's a slew of crap in-between. If L'Oreal didn't slap a salon price on these products I might have been sold, but for their retail value, I'd rather pay a little more and get some Kerastase.
I think if you're trying to compete in an already over-saturated market, the results have to be visible.
After a photo and touch analysis of my hair, I can't say that it was remarkably different. The only thing I noticed was that my hair wasn't as static-y. That's something? Isn't it.

Fact: The MAJORITY of mascaras do not play nice with Asian eyes.
Fact: This was lost on most people in the industry.
Fact: The industry changes.
Fact: Change happens. The proof is in the pudding: Sephora started carrying Fairydrops in February 2011. (Although admittedly I didn't rush to pick up a tube. I have stockpiles of MJ and Benefit in my vanity.)
Now imagine the happiness I felt when I open by LashStash and there it was. What makes Fairdrops so special? Personally, I think it starts with the bling packaging.
It also the most unique brush I've ever seen - with three puffs.
Tada! Fairy-ed.
How she delivered overall:

Curling power - soso
Longevity - soso
I'm a fan (perhaps not a superone).

Tarte's Gifted Amazonian Clay volumizes your lashes and has longevity. I love it even more now that I know it repairs your lashes. The Amazonian clay hydrates and replenishes to prevent fallout (a natural daily occurrence). The clay also absorbs oil which helps keep the volume in your lashes without the mess.
P.S. Isn't the packaging a nice change from the usual? I like it. Change is good donkey.
