Picked this up at bath and body works a couple months ago and have repurchased many times since then. I have perpetually dry skin and lips, and I use this balm every night before going to bed. If I don't, I wake up with uncomfortably dry lips. This balm is indeed quite thick and doesn't feel too great when applied, but thats why its meant for the nighttime, and the thick consistency allows it to last all night long! -
This corrector (I use it as a concealer) is by far the best I've ever tried and that is by no means an exaggeration. I have pretty horrid under eye circles and puffiness, and I've had them for as long as I can remember. This covers them up the best... +
This corrector (I use it as a concealer) is by far the best I've ever tried and that is by no means an exaggeration. I have pretty horrid under eye circles and puffiness, and I've had them for as long as I can remember. This covers them up the best out of any other products I've ever tried, without any creasing (I use a hydrating eye cream underneath though) and can last all day.
Some people dislike its thick consistency and find it hard to apply since this comes in a tiny tub and most concealers come in a more convenient squeezable tube. However, the consistency of this corrector is just one of the many reasons why it works so well! Think about it - when painting a picture, the thinner paints and watercolours are quite sheer and wouldn't be able to cover up any colours underneath them. Now, think about the heavy, thick paints...those can definitely cover any colour as they're opaque and a little goes a long way in terms of colour payoff. This bobbi brown corrector works in the same way. It's thicker formula allows it to colour up the purple/grey/blue/green/etc colours of your under-eye, while not needing to use as much product. And, despite its thickness, it doesn't feel heavy or look cakey. And the fact that it comes in a little tub allows you to use up all of the product (which you'll want to because you'll love it so much...and its pretty pricey).
Not only do I love this corrector, but so has everyone I've ever recommended it to. The range of shades they offer is great, catering to those with yellow (like me) or pink undertones, lighter skin, darker skin, and all the beautiful shades in between.
This product is meant to be applied first to counteract and correct the hues of your under-eye, and then their concealer is supposed to be layered over top. I have tried this and it works great, however, the corrector itself is apply to conceal my under eye very nicely and I just prefer to just use it alone. I have already gone through many tubs of this product, and I plan to purchase many more. I definitely recommend that you to try this product, see what works for you (maybe you'll be like me and like the corrector alone, or the concealer alone, or you'll prefer to layer the two).
Happy shopping and I hope you love this Bobbi Brown corrector as much as I did! Sorry for the long review and BTW I use the shade Peach (called light peach at some places) and I have a medium-ish brown skin tone (I'm indian) with yellow undertones and purple under eye bags.
